Republicans should be embarrassed by Mr. Trump’s Electoral College hustle. Mr. Trump is putting his loyal VP in a terrible spot, and what do Republicans think would happen if Mr. Pence pulled the trigger, Mr. Biden was denied 270 electoral votes, and the House chose Mr. Trump as President? Riots in the streets would be the least of it.

Mr. Pence is too much of a patriot to go along, but the scramble to overturn the will of the voters tarnishes Mr. Trump’s legacy and undermines any designs he has on running in 2024. Republicans who humor him will be giving Democrats license to do the same in the future, and then it might matter.

They don't get embarrassed. There is no bottom. The contingent of the electorate that they appeal to will never make them pay a political cost for their antics. They are doing the will of the people who put them there. Those people are more interested in grievance politics than actually legislating anything... that acts a a smokescreen for the funders of the GOP to be able to sell off the commons to them.

I hope that this is the death throws of a particular form of American paranoia, but I doubt it.

Yeah, NOW things are out of hand, eh? Every last Republican that ever uttered a good word in Trump’s direction can **** off foooooorever. Embarrassment is for folks capable of feeling shame.

Trump Stupid's and other Trump Republicans HAVE NO POLITICAL SHAME centers in their psyches.

If Trump's trained monkey VP Pence had any true patriotism vein running through his body he would have never come aboard the Trump train nor stayed there for the entire ride.

The WSJ writer voicing, as I see it, what they are in that opinion piece is the equivalent of the barnyard dog barking at the horse disappearing over yonder ridge as the farmer is still closing the barn door.

The WSJ Editorial Board (when confronted with mountains of evidence of election fraud)...

Oh look, Mycrosft is lying again as usual.

No "mountains of evidence" were presented, only mountains of unsubstantiated accusations of fraud but no ACTUAL fraud has been shown and proven. Even YOU can't provide this evidence and only provide accusations instead. What makes Trump supporters lie so much and be so dishonest in their comments?

Honestly it sounds like the beginning. If people aren't interested in the truth they'll just find more avenues of "news" to feed into their delusion.

Care to share one itty bitty example of that fraud. You know, the same fraud that was found not to exist by the now-deposed cyber-security chief, the AG, Billy Barr, the R SoS of GA and myriad other folks?

But I'm pretty sure you know more about this than they do. Please share...

It's already been asked before and Mycroft ducks, dodges and then runs away only to come back and still spew the same lies he spouts.

You are turning into a one-trick pony.

All of this evidence, only one negligible court win out of what, 60? 70 now?

The time to bring the evidence is in court, yet they never do.

Why is that?

Yep, and that group has doubled down until the end, so the question is where they will find themselves in a post Trump world. I agree with your assessment that they focus on grievance politics, and depending on Trump's staying power after he leaves office, this could continue or fall by the wayside. There's a part of me that is curious to see where election investigations would take the fraud supporters, since government agencies have already made their determination. I suspect it would end up like the Benghazi investigations, where despite the repeated findings, Trump's crowd would still be complaining if the answers aren't what they want.

There have never been mountains of evidence of election fraud. Never! In fact, there has never even been ant hills of evidence of election fraud.
Does your planet orbit a sun - or does it just float freely in space?

That sounds about right.

In nearly a dozen cases their fraud accusations did indeed have their days in court, and consistently collapsed under scrutiny.

Investigations won't matter. They have their own anti reality bubble. Joe Biden stealing the election is the new birtherism.

What "mountains"? How come you are never able to produce any in spite of your conviction? Here's a free hint; belief does not constitute proof.

You'll be lucky! Despite innumerable requests for his 'proof' he has produced precisely none. He has 'faith' you see, and that doesn't require evidence of anything. Ask your favourite evangelist...

Trump supporters aren't embarrassed. Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity have been preparing them to do this very thing for 30 years.

It's their God-given right.
