This is a difficult matter, the privacy of those seeking medical treatment for mental illness. I certainly don't want to see anyone unfairly stigmatized. But there needs to be mechanisms in place for social workers, doctors, and police to act quickly in certain potentially dangerous situations.

Also, the question of those with serious mental illness living in a home where guns are available and possibly not secure. This is where police should be taking action, visiting homes and going over safe storage procedures. In extreme situations, (schizophrenia, manic-depression) if it appears that a relative is unwilling to comply with reasonable safe storage and security of firearms, then police should be able to take action to protect that family and the community at large. Let mental health professionals determine what the criteria are and allow for a court to review the case after guns have been removed from the home, but waiting until a case has been 'adjudicated' is not always prudent, as the stress of potential confinement may drive a patient to violent action.

Have liberals lined up on public streets with large graphic pictures of dead children with gunshot wounds ?? Or do liberals post graphic gun-violence photos on billboards? No. And No.

Conservatives Pro-lifers do this, use graphic pictures of abortions further their cause.

That would be authoritarians, not liberals in general. There are conservative authoritarians as well as liberal ones.

Your original post re: 'liberals using dead children' seems laughable in the context of social conservatives actually using photos of abortions in pro-life campaigns. Keep in mind, the pro-lifers consider an aborted fetus a child, so they are using actual photos of dead children on street corners and billboards.

I'll do you one better, I'll show you a photo of a social conservative using what they consider to be a dead child to make their case. That way there is no argument to be made about what they think they are doing. We take the legal opinion and discussion right out of it. Nancy Pro-Life uses photos of dead children (in her mind) to further her agenda.

I'm looking forward to civilian owned drones. Saw a video of a good sized remote control helicopter with a pistol rigged to it with a solenoid to operate the trigger. Held up to he recoil pretty well.
