Would you eat Lab Grown Meat?

When anyone makes an argument that they oppose something for being an inferior product my point will always be to let it lose on the free market, then.

If Lab grown meat is more expensive or noticeably inferior then it won't sell... at least to people who already eat meat.

If it gives Vegans/Vegetarians an option for animal protein without hurting animals then they might pay a premium for it... depending on how the poll goes.

Hi jmotivator,

I did not vote.

I only heard of this. Knowing myself, it goes against everything I like about food. I like natural things. I think I would not buy it. But I also think we're heading into a time where we simply won't have the choice because fresh meat simply does not exist for sale anymore, or it is too expensive for most of us.

I can't speak for the "Republican side," I can only speak for myself. I just consider lab-grown meat one of those creepy Sci-Fi things I don't want to encounter.

I don't mind other people buying/eating it. Just not me.

If it tastes the same as regular meat then why not?

I used to get Impossible burgers now and then from Burger King and they were OK. I wasn't fooled into thinking it was beef, but it was closer than some alternatives.

My only real issue with products like Impossible burgers is I think companies that server vegans and vegetarians should focus their lime on making unique and delicious vegan meals rather than trying to imitate meat.

I've eaten quite a few absolutely delicious vegan and vegetarian meals in my life that used no "Tofurkey" style substitutes and they make vegetarianism seem way more doable than any Impossible Burger ever did.

Yeah. I prefer my nuts and berries to taste like nuts and berries.
 
The meat you eat was developed in a lab then stuck on a standing room only farm to gorge itself on corn and antibiotics. So eating lab grown meat isn't far from where society is already.
 
don't eat fake/artificial anything
don't take drugs
don't smoke
don't drink unfiltered water


that's my daily goals

the meat I eat, I prefer to catch/kill myself. I will not eat lab grown or plant based or anything less than as organic/natural as I can find
