With every decision the cons on SCOTUS take us closer to autocratic rule

I've been saying that for years, but they've been falling all over themselves since the 2024 election to cement autocracy and destroy the Constitution. They don't even pretend anymore. Roberts did it again today, as well. Then they have the absolute gall to criticize judges who actually follow the law and precedent. They're not a court anymore, just a cabal. They're political operatives in the finest tradition of fascists the world over.

The USSC is doing its job.
They are protecting the citizens from the corrupt and tyrannical Democrat Party.
 
Never in my life have we had a Supreme Court with more respect for the law and more respect for the democratic process than with this court.

They don't care. These people are among the most ideological judges in the judiciary's recent history. As Federalist Society judges, they are deeply involved in the world of right-wing think tanks - not just FS but almost certainly other conservative activist causes as well. I get the feeling that they're part of some kind of 'restoration' or counter-revolution. If they have to abuse the emergency docket so they can rewrite decades of court doctrine to give the president the latitude he needs to establish an imperial presidency, they're on board.

Actually it is the three left wing judges on the USSC who are ignoring the constitution and making their decisions based upon their far left politics.
Judge Jackson always rules against the constitution.

You don't seem to realize that neither Nixon nor Clinton were ever criminally prosecuted for any official action they took.

You really need to calm down and read up on the decision. Learn what the issues are, learn the history of the Constitution, and stop posting on emotion alone.
