I love the snowboard cross and half pipe events. Cloe Kim and Shawn White - USA!Love watching it. Have it on in the background every night, check in for the figure skating and the snowboard and skiing freestyle stuff. And I love the ski and snowboard 'crosses.'
I cheer almost everyone on, knowing the commitment and effort all have put in. I also love the views into the culture and food and scenes of the host countries.
Call me Pollyanna if you want but why should I add baggage to something I can just watch and enjoy?
Don't say that! You'll give poor Hawk a heart attack. Remember - we're going get tired of all the winning! So Trump is failing to make America great again...
If being here sucks so much for you LEAVE. Don't let the door hit ya where the Lord split ya!We are increasingly not good at anything....I am trying to show people that the inability to produce anymore is everywhere...as America fails everything fails....nearly.
I took my 15 year old snowboarding today. He doesn't have school today or tomorrow. My kids are soccer players first but they do other things. I remember taking my son snow boarding at our local mountain. He was on his teens. I was walking at the bottom of the hills by the food and bar. I don't do the snow sports. Anyway there was this father working with his son, maybe 8 years old. I thought the kid looked great on skis, turning and coming stopping etc. One time the kid came down and stopped by using the pie technique which apparently is for beginners. His father could be heard yelling at him that he was too experienced or whatever to be doing that. This was also near the bunny slope where plenty of others were just starting out. The father belittled his son so all could hear. I felt bad for the kid. His father was acting like an asshole. My son had a great time and eventually did some snow board teaching. That's all I got. Have a good night.

Whom ever has the power to frame the story has the power to decide how the story ends, regardless of what the main actor does. I suspected once I did not see lawyers headed to Washington to support the Rebellion in Dec that the entire program was iffy, by the first of FEB I was sure that trump did not have enough power with the people to survive the Swamp....everything that came after had a certain irrelevance to it, though I appreciate PATRIOT TRUMP seeming to have decided to go out fighting.
Dude, you're the one spewing word salad. The rest of us are communicating just fine. Sometimes when you think everyone else has the problem the problem is YOU!The communication attempt sure did.
This is a big problem in America now, we really suck at communications, and it tends to be both the speakers and the listeners fault.

Wisdom that you cant comprehend could seem like word salad to you, but that is not my problem, it is you who takes the hit.
Those imparting true wisdom know how to frame their thoughts to be meaningful to their audience.
THose with true wisdom place their egos second.
And those who are willfully ignorant will continue grasp nothing regardless of how much work I put in.
If one was serious would be parsing sentences so that they could be understood.
er.......
I kind of, er, became ah, busy, that's it, I was really , really busy.
I can't stand figure skating. It is not a sport any more than a tango is, but i have to keep that to myself, and the fact I hate curling as well.
Now if they had beaver hunting...
Thanks for proving my point. It's all about you...not the "wisdom" nor it's import. If it was, you would accommodate those it would impact.
LOL....oh well. I kind of like curling too.
what is interesting in the summer games you have a hard time saying which sport requires the best athletes and which sports not so much. The shooting sports (other than archery) and perhaps the equestrian events are probably good choices but there is an even gradient in the summer games. you have sports that require extreme quickness and coordination like the table tennis, tennis, boxing, badminton fencing etc--you have sports that require tremendous stamina-the steeplechase, wrestlers, again tennis players, rowers, etc. its really hard to grade the athletes
in the winter olympics just about every event-save one requires technique, quickness, endurance etc. Cross country skiing, and biathlon and some of the speed skating events require huge amounts of stamina. Technique in skating ski jumping the other sliding events is top flight. every winter sport requires obvious displays of top tier athleticism being it snow board, skiing skating and sliding
then you have curling
So when does Billiards become an Olympic sport? LOL!
So when does Billiards become an Olympic sport? LOL!
Here is one of my main issues. I don't know if you have ever seen world class squash but it requires tremendous endurance, quickness and strategy. Its played in all of the world with the top players coming from Egypt, Canada, Australia, Pakistan, India, Malaysia, France, England -only parts of South America and the old Eastern Bloc are "weak"
yet its not in the olympics but stuff like trampoline and other sports that have very little activity world wide are being added
Along with darts, shuffleboard, pinball and Mrs. Packman. Bowling might make it first.
I don't follow the Olympic sports very closely. However eliminating wrestling seemed really odd.

Shuffleboard is already a sport, it called curling. Don't be dissing us bowlers. Takes quite a bit of skill to hit your mark after 5 beers!
Wrestling has not been eliminated, thanks to our very active wrestling community ...

Hmm... perhaps you are onto something - we could add various "bar sports" to the Olympics and require a minimum BAC to make it realistic.
