or will there be a brokered convention ? what happens if he doesn't get the minimum number of delegates ? will dems take house if hillary wins ? thanks

Trump has 329 so far, and need 908 out of the remaining 1762, so
a he needs more than half of the remaining delegates.
So far he has 46% of all of the delegates awarded, but the field
of opponents is shrinking.
At some point momentum takes over, and people will back who they think has the best chance of winning.

On the other hand, he stands against the more traditional Republican politicians and they all dispize him. They might pool their delegates and throw them against him. that would make it hard for him to win.

They may (BIG MAY) be able to do that, but it would almost assure a Hillery victory.
The Cruz and Rubio have gathered 47% to Trumps 46%, but that includes Curz's big Texas count.
We should have a better picture in a week or two, if such a move would be possible.

Hillary is generating no excitement at all. Trump has his 30 percent (which would be 15-20% in a general) that are just gullible and lazy voters.

I could see a scenario where you could pool either Rubio/Kasich or Cruz/Rubio or Rubio/Cruz, and take on Hillary and Trump in a three-way race. Rubio and Cruz can grab a sizable segment of the Hispanic vote, which Hillary desperately needs, and Rubio could perhaps deliver Florida. Kasich could deliver Ohio from the VP slot.

This is an election season like nothing before in the modern era.

Trump has his 30 percent ... that are just gullible and lazy voters.

Quit being diminutive to trump supporters like that you Trumpophobe!

Isn't that like the definition of bigotry, assuming that an entire class of people have some specific characteristics because of the action of a few?

What if I said that all of Clintons black votes are just gullible and lazy?

Nate Silver's 538 site has Trump's delegate count at 114% of what he was projected to need at this point.
Cruz and Rubio are substantially under performing.
If Trump manages to win in Fla and Illinois, the race is over.

Several posters would agree with your statement.

Because in all likelihood it's true.. But it would be blasted as racism no doubt..

You can not possibly support Trump intellectually after the ridiculous things he has said. Killing terrorist families, and claiming the military would do it if he told them to? Bait-and-switch companies like Trump University? Making fun of handicapped people? Claiming a female reporter is on her period? No understanding at all of the global political climate?

This is like voting for Al Bundy.

Considering they support a harlot who helped her husband continue his sexual abuse, yeah I would say the majority ARE gullible and lazy

Thanks for pointing that out.

Those two are one in the same. Hillary is grotesquely corrupt, with money being worked through the Clinton Foundation from all sorts of anti-American governments. They are House of Cards times a million.

The job of the president is not to make you FEEL better. It is to help to provide the circumstances in which you can BE better.

For most of the people, about 99%, that means a good job. I think Romney would have provided this and I think Trump will too. Businessmen are the guys who know how to rig the game in favor of business. Business is what creates jobs and jobs are what we need to prosper.

Obama, obviously, is either utterly incompetent in this foundational talent or is actively working against us. Hilary will do the same. Burnie will pad lock the factories and burn the stock market to the ground.

If there is a guy who knows how to rev up the business of the country vs a clown who cries every time a racist says the n word, I will go for the business man every time.

We've had the feel good mother figure for long enough. Behind is not where a leader marches. It's where he hides or cowers.

Not understanding the global political climate? Re-set switch. The Arab Spring. Benghazi? It would be difficult to lack the depth of understanding to a greater degree than does Barrack.

thats why i'll vote for Al. he thinks like a regular American and not a politician whore.

If Trump supporters feel they have been pushed aside by the party elite, they will revolt and split the party. This will inevitably give the election to the Democrat candidate. Recent history shows that the electorate has so little trust in the system, they will not let a president have a congressional majority. If Hillary is elected, they will not give either the House or the Senate to the Democrats. We can look forward to more of the same garbage.

The election looks very different but I am not very confident that the outcome will be any different from what we have right now.

Can you imagine if the primary came out with Trump v Sanders. That would create a different outcome because whatever happens with the congress, the president will not be business as usual.

Not necessarily. Trump's supporters only represent about 20 percent of the entire electorate. Hillary isn't jazzing Democrats either.

Imagine a Rubio/Kasich ticket. Rubio brings in a large Hispanic contingent (40% would be enough to neuter Hillary), and Kasich delivers Ohio. If Rubio could deliver Florida, it's GAME OVER. I even wonder if California would be in play with a Hispanic candidate.
