I think he is thinking in transformational ways, but he is facing even more strident and entrenched opposition than even FDR, and is bouyed by a less desperate populace.

Clearly Good Ole Joe is doing an amazing job but it is too soon to call. Where I do take issue with you is calling the Clinton or Obama some of the greats.

This is teh correct answerer.

first of all, FDR was not the greatest president ever, unless you are a hard core socialist who hates our constitution and federalism. Secondly, Senile Joe isn't even really the president. He's a puppet

He wasn't. He used two major crisis to grab power, subvert the constitution, and ignore the rule of law.
Since you’ve specifically stated multiple times that you don’t believe in democracy, your notion of grabbing power is hilarious.

Your concept of an illegitimate power grab is a Democrat winning a free and fair election.

He solved three major crisis. Please show where he subverted the constitution in doing so.

he *****whipped the supreme court with threats of court packing into allowing legislation he supported, that was clearly unconstitutional. Do you HONESTLY believe that the commerce clause was intended to allow social security, gun bans and prosecution of a farmer who grew wheat for his own family only within his own home state?

I believe in a constitutional republic, not the mob rule of pure democracy

The commerce clause, as written, as well as the general welfare clause, allow all manner of things to be funded.

Please show where the wording of the two clauses were in any way distorted.

He's been in the job less than 6 months.
Saying one way or the other at this time is a tad odd.
For all we know The US could have been invaded by your oldest and bitterest foe, Tuvalu in a couple of years.

for a bad president the people really loved him. 4 terms. GOP needed to come up with term limits so they can stop popular dem presidents in the future like clinton and obama.

If you believed in a constitutional republic you would have no grounds for calling FDR’s win a power grab. So the explanation for your contradiction, as well as your support for minoritarian rule, is that “constitutional republic” is a euphemism, like “state’s rights.”

You mean this Biden?

2020 Democrat Joe Biden stumbled over his words as he attempted to recite the Declaration of Independence ahead of Super Tuesday.

“We hold these truths to be self-evident,” the former vice president said during a campaign event in Texas on Monday. "All men and women created by — you know, you know, the thing.”

Former Vice President Joe Biden bizarrely called a young woman a “lying dog-faced pony soldier” at a campaign event in New Hampshire on Sunday.

Biden: 'If you have a problem figuring out whether you're for me or Trump, then you ain't black'

“I mean, you’ve got the first sort of mainstream African American who is articulate and bright and clean,” Biden said of then-Sen. Barack Obama as both campaigned ahead of the 2008 primaries. “That’s a storybook, man.”

Really what is so amazing?

Only thing he did was spend money not yet earned by future generations, it remains to be seen how that is going to play out in the long run.

Aww, are you pretending that representative democracy is not a thing? America has never set out to be a direct democracy and no President has ever aimed for that.

The commerce clause, as written, as well as the general welfare clause, allow all manner of things to be funded.

Luce-you made the claim, prove it. The fact is, most of FDR's desired laws were struck down as unconstitutional until he threatened the court

99percenter-interesing to see someone who claims to be very conservative, worshipping a guy who pushed all sorts of big government schemes. FDR was a master at pandering and using the Depression and the War to trod upon constitutional rights.

Ok he made a few racist comments in the past. Trump has had made many and proudly. Biden is a different man now than he was in the past.

Left-wingers love promises and if one of their idols "INTENDS" good things to happen, even if the reality establishes that their goals are impossible, the left still pretends that their idol has achieved something

So what? It's not like that particular court wasn't political as hell.

And you made the assertion.

Well Biden has some great ideas. They all go against the Republican Agenda for the last 40+ years. Biden has one huge problem. The Senate.

Mitch McConnell and the Republicans in the Senate will have none of it.

Joe Manchin breaks the Democrats majority. Great plans unimplemented are just that. Great plans.

I believe they will all die in the senate. If the democrats don't pass H-1 voting rights bill the Republicans will sweep them all out of office in 2022. Then Biden will be like Obama. A lame duck till his term runs out.
