Many have serious doubts.
Our President directly caused the riots in L.A. Then our President violated our laws and our Constitution by ordering the military to confront Americans in the chaos he initiated.
NBC reports. "California Gov. Gavin Newsom pushed back against threats of arrest by Trump administration officials, remaining defiant as he oversees clashes between law enforcement agents and protesters in response to immigration raids across Los Angeles.
"Trump’s "border czar," Tom Homan, threatened arrest for anyone who obstructs the immigration enforcement effort, including Newsom and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass."
The AP reports, the President "deployed about 700 Marines to Los Angeles on Monday to help National Guard members respond to immigration protests, three U.S. officials said as California prepared to sue President Donald Trump over his use of Guard troops to confront the protesters.
"The Marines were to be deployed from their base at Twenty-nine Palms in the Southern California desert. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss military plans. The deployment was first reported by CNN.
"The attorney general said the president’s actions had “trampled” the state’s sovereignty."
Such actions by the President violates the 10th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, which limits federal power over the states as well as federal law that requires a bona fide rebellion or other limited circumstances before such troops can be used domestically.
With respect to the Marines, the Posse Comitatus Act (PCA), enacted in 1878, prohibits the use of the U.S. military for domestic law enforcement purposes. It aims to prevent the military from being used to enforce laws unless explicitly authorized by Congress or the Constitution.
The government is spending millions of dollars for a military parade for our President on his birthday, June 14th.
