Someone was making a comment about black people at a cookout eating chicken wings and their friend was acting nervous and kind of yelling at them for the comment. I didn't know it was suppose to be racist until it was later explained and I still don't get it. What's bad about chicken wings, I thought it more of a stereotypical football fan thing...chicken wings and beer?
Still confused at that one
I would have told them, "I'm sorry, but we on't accomidate party's larger than 8", thirty seconds after they walked in the door.
I'd rather see someone think it's racism and have it turn out not to be than to ignore every claim lest we inure ourselves to it.
No reservations and 25 people to seat. That sounds like a set up. I think the restaurant was being pretty patient to let them hang around complaining for two hours.

NASCAR... Chicken wings, beer and fast cars. Redneck heaven.

Right.Whenever there's ambiguity always claim racism.
Ever heard the story of "the boy who cried wolf"? Same thing.
Kinda like assuming all black people are thieves. Just to be on the safe side, right?
LOL...you people blow me away!
Yeah that too so I hear, I wouldn't know first hand, I don't usually hang out with people who think it's fun to watch cars drive in circles
So what's racism have to do with chicken wings?
Because you knew ahead of time that they would be obnoxious?

Indeed. Look what happened when it turned out it was a wolf and everyone ignored it.
If they did that, the cons would be applauding them.
That's equally as ****ed up as assuming race is involved every time a black person feels disenfranchised and there's a white person somewhere in the vicinity to lay the blame on.
That's easy. Chickens have wings, right?
Therefore white people are racists. See how that works?

What if the "one custom,er complaint" isn't true?
Do you believe everything on facebook?
Definitely something to fire a manager over if true, unless the customer recorded a threat or something, on his smart phone... Which is getting more common these days.
After reading several articles on line regarding this incident I can't help but come to the conclusion that there was most likely some subtle racism involved that provoked the restaurant staff to handle this situation the way that they did. I also must conclude that the customer that felt threatened had some racial issues that provoked fear in them. Because how in the world does it make sense to feel "threatened" by people being a little rowdy. Why did it illicit fear? It's a problem when one chooses to hold everyone in a particular ethnic group responsible for the behavior of other members of the same group. Not every black person is a potential thug.
Well, if more details come out then perhaps I'll reconsider my judgment. But I'm not going to assume right off the bat that they are lying and to be quite honest it wouldn't surprise me. Restaurant managers always seem to be taking it in the rear from whiny costumers.
I have a question for the forum. Why is it when it white on black crime its always portrayed by the media and the left as racist but when its black on white crime it hardly ever is? I have never been able to understand that.
