Am I the only woman on earth who thinks sex is a fantastic surprise?
There are many people for whom sex is a fantastic surprise. Unfortunately, most of them are blindfolded and ballgagged before the surprise is administered.
There are, both the same complaint: No condom. I don't really consider that rape, as we understand the term in the U.S. Apparently, the sex was consensual, but the not-wearing-the-condom was non-consensual.
p.s. Swedish people are strange.
p.p.s. More clarification.

I stand by my original post...swedish people are weird.
What he have here is supposition and the word of Assange's lawyer. I do not know all the details of the charge against him, but it could be more than this.
According to a police report obtained by the Daily Mail in August, she and Assange had sex, and at some point the condom broke. While she was apparently not happy about the condom breaking, the two were seen the next day at the seminar, and nothing appeared amiss.

The other woman accompanied her to the police station on Aug. 20 just to support her but then told the investigating officer on duty that she, too, had had sex with Assange, Aftonbladet reported..

Kjellstrand's decision was overruled the following day by a higher-level prosecutor, Eva Finne, who withdrew the arrest warrant and said she did not see any evidence for rape allegations.
Then, on Sept. 1, a third prosecutor, Ny, re-opened the rape investigation, implying that she had new information in the case.
On Nov. 18, Swedish judicial officials approved a prosecutorial request that Assange be detained for questioning for alleged sex crimes, and on Nov. 30 Interpol issued a "red notice" against Assange for alleged sex crimes in Sweden. Despite what has happened, the woman who organized the event and had Assange stay at her apartment told Aftonbladet that she never intended that Assange be charged with rape.
"It is quite wrong that we were afraid of him. He is not violent, and I do not feel threatened by him," she told the newspaper in an interview that did not identify her by name. "The responsibility for what happened to me and the other girl lies with a man who had attitude problems with women."
Umm..did you not even read the full article that I linked to? Or did you just read the first few paragraphs where Assaunge's lawyer is talking?

Doesn't that kinda depend on just who is doing the surprising?

Attorney Gemma Lindfield, acting on behalf of the Swedish authorities, outlined one allegation of rape, two allegations of molestation and one of unlawful coercion stemming from Assange's separate sexual encounters in August with two women in Sweden.
Lindfield said one woman accused Assange of pinning her down and refusing to use a condom on the night of Aug. 14 in Stockholm. That woman also accused of Assange of molesting her in a way "designed to violate her sexual integrity" several days later.
Catz Part Deux;1059144400[I said:]Do you think that the terrorists haven't already scoped out our vulnerabilities, and aren't continually engaged in this activity[/I]? Please.
Do you really think they needed a crib sheet?
As I stated, Dutch, there is a reason that this list wasn't top secret...it wasn't really a secret.
Also...the list that the article is discussing doesn't put the troops in danger.
Maybe...you could try researching this subject, reading what was leaked, and thinking about the dangers of a government with too many secrets from its own citizens.
Indeed. That's a very important consideration. I only have sex with one person, though, so surprise sex is always awesome for me.
Funny, let's look at the most recent by a real dependable news organization(AP in this case): Judge denies WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange bail - Yahoo! News[
Based on that, rape sounds like a valid description of the charge.
So, you've rejected the report that comes from Assange's defense attorney, but bought wholesale into the comments of the prosecutor in the case? lulz.
Here's another article with more details on what happened.

Ah the spin. No, I don't reject anything. I do not know what happened. I do know that the charge, as described by the persecutor(ie the one who knows about the charge) could be accurately described as rape. That is why I use those big complicated words like "if", because I do not know if he is guilty. Unlike those who are assuming based on what they want to believe, I am willing to let the process play itself out.

I do not see the word "if" in your previous post.

What I read in there shows the accusations by the lawyers. What I posted had actual comment by one of the gals that he suppposedly raped plus it had the police report obtained by the daily mail here.
And how is Yahoo News any different from AoL News?
Yeah, based on what the prosecutor says it would sound like rape. But then that is thier job isn't it? To make the defendant sound guilty of what ever it is they are charging the person with?
Yahoo news was carrying the AP news story. The AP is a reliable source, AoL I am less certain of.
But the prosecutor is the person who made the charge and actually knows what the charges are based on.
