Wikileaks founder Julian Assange arrested in London

Am I the only woman on earth who thinks sex is a fantastic surprise?

There are many people for whom sex is a fantastic surprise. Unfortunately, most of them are blindfolded and ballgagged before the surprise is administered.

It seems wikileaks is currently closed..

I'd suggest that you read up on the charges.

'Sex by Surprise' at Heart of Assange Criminal Probe

What he have here is supposition and the word of Assange's lawyer. I do not know all the details of the charge against him, but it could be more than this.

Umm..did you not even read the full article that I linked to? Or did you just read the first few paragraphs where Assaunge's lawyer is talking?

Not sure if it has been mentioned yet, but it is being reported that Assange was denied bail.

Doesn't that kinda depend on just who is doing the surprising?

Indeed. That's a very important consideration. I only have sex with one person, though, so surprise sex is always awesome for me.

Yes that is strange, but remember the liberals and the antioch college nonsense of asking permission for every step of the sexual encounter...... A bullet, dodged, they did not.

Funny, let's look at the most recent by a real dependable news organization(AP in this case): Judge denies WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange bail - Yahoo! News

Based on that, rape sounds like a valid description of the charge.

In all fairness they don't have to work it that hard. They simply have to wait for our current administration to simply............hand over the documents. I just feel we should make them "work it a little harder." But then, our current regime is not only corrupt, it's also inept.

Ah the spin. No, I don't reject anything. I do not know what happened. I do know that the charge, as described by the persecutor(ie the one who knows about the charge) could be accurately described as rape. That is why I use those big complicated words like "if", because I do not know if he is guilty. Unlike those who are assuming based on what they want to believe, I am willing to let the process play itself out.

What I read in there shows the accusations by the lawyers. What I posted had actual comment by one of the gals that he suppposedly raped plus it had the police report obtained by the daily mail here.

And how is Yahoo News any different from AoL News?

Yeah, based on what the prosecutor says it would sound like rape. But then that is thier job isn't it? To make the defendant sound guilty of what ever it is they are charging the person with?

I have zero idea whether he is guilty or innocent. Do I believe that the U.S. has meddled in this situation, however? Possibly. And, I don't believe that these incidents, as described in the Daily Mail article, would be considered rape in the U.S. Bad, boorish behavior? Possibly.

I do not see the word "if" in your previous post.

I do not see the word "if" in your previous post.

You may have missed all the posts where I stated that "if" he was guilty of a crime he should be punished. Catz has seen them, since I had to actually repeat all them so she could see the word. She knows better but chose the dishonest route.

Yahoo news was carrying the AP news story. The AP is a reliable source, AoL I am less certain of.

But the prosecutor is the person who made the charge and actually knows what the charges are based on.

Seems to me that if you are less certain of weather they are reliable or not the benefit of the doubt may be in order? You are of course entitled to your opinion, just saying.

But the prosecutor is the person who made the charge and actually knows what the charges are based on.

And based on the police reports provided by the daily mail rape is indeed a misnomer. I would even have to say that the use of the word "rape" is really nothing more than an appeal to emotion. Something that is essentially used in any court proceedings.
