Why are these people pleading the 5th? If there’s nothing to hide? If Joe Biden was competent to serve why are these people refusing to say so? It’s pretty simple unless they are culpable in some type of cover up. Could it have something to do with the auto pen?

The 5th is only invoked for two reasons. One is if your recollection of events is hazy and you don’t want to risk perjuring yourself. The other is not to implicate yourself in a crime you have knowledge of if not participated in. So the aides are either as demented as Mad Joe himself or are actively engaged in a conspiracy to cover up a crime.

There is a 3rd possibility, I think. At least one of the questions she pled the 5th to was about other people.

"The source said Tomasini pleaded the Fifth when asked if Biden, a member of his family, or anyone at the White House instructed her to lie regarding his health at any time. "

So that one almost seems more like rubber-stamp stonewalling than anything else. At least she actually showed up for a Congressional subpoena.
