Why does the Left believe the Right wing is the greater threat to America?

The Greatest threat to America is not Radical Islam according to the left.

The Greatest threat to America is not Mass Immigration according to the left.

The Greatest threat to America is not Collectivism according to the left.


The Greatest threat to America according to the left are the very views, values, and culture that founded and built this nation and the people that support them.

Any ideas why they believe such falsehoods?

The views, values, and culture that founded this nation has almost nothing in common with the views, values and culture of the right wing.
 

Radical Islam isn't effecting the USA directly except as a cost to taxpayers to support the constant wars in the ME.

Mass immigration is a huge part of USA's long term history since virtually none of it's citizens would be here had some relative not immigrated here either before or after the Revolutionary War.

Collectivism is a concept not an event or group.

The religious Republican right has become extreme and seems to have forgotten what both Jesus and the statue of liberty promote and instead are demanding nationwide bigotry, poverty, and uninsured illness.

Going to give you a big hint: making up positions for people and trying to assign them to that position is a massive fail, every time. Instead of telling people what they think, you might be more successful if you asked them what they think. It is very clear from this post you have zero clue what "the left" thinks.
 
The greatest threat to America is the growing acceptance , by utterly deluded people, that "income inequality" is not a big deal. The acceptance of this great chasm in wealth and income, coupled with ever evolving technology that exacerbates income disparity, will create a dystopic United States Of America, probably within the lifetimes of people living today.
 
Being a Patriotic American is now akin to being a threat.
Pushing back on the gay/liberal agenda is now akin to being a threat.

Also Jesus did not teach intimation of others into submitting to unjust laws or views that subverted the word and teachings of God.

The Statue of Liberty is not a Founding Document, it has no really value outside of iconography that has been built on bad history and idealism created by revisionists.

Poverty? Funny what has an open border allowed into this nation but a wave of poverty, displacing the most vulnerable among us, while mass legal immigration us undermined and suppressing the wages of American workers who are already in the midst of wage falling.

Funny..You take of insures yet millions will have their coverage cut in the coming years assuming their health insures companies even stay open all thanks to that "affordable" healthcare act.

The right wing doesn't stand for any of those things. It claims to, very loudly, but its actual policies don't accomplish those goals. The right wing makes for a bigger government, and makes it a tool of wealthy business and religious theocrats. It pushes people into poverty so powerful that self-reliance is impossible. It works for the rights of states to agree with its own agenda, but not for a state to disagree.

I'm not saying that the left is for state's rights or limited government, either. No one really is. And even the anti-government libertarians are only superficially about limited government, because when they strip down the government there will be another power (one even less able to be controlled by the people) will take its place. That's not a government by name, but certainly one in operation.

What the right wing actually has is warmongering, corporate oligarchy, social stratification, and enforced religious morality. That's a bigger threat than militants on the other side of the world. A more diverse population here obviously isn't a threat at all. And collectivism is how we have liberty at all, as it stems from the ideologies of the Enlightenment, which allowed us to begin shaking off the aristocrats in the first place.

Great question, we do not support police brutality. Some actions which may appear as brutality are in some cases total lies, like "hands up, don't shoot" and other such lies. Supporting the facts at hand and reserving judgment until the facts at hand give us a clear and unbiased summary of events to some is seen as "basis" but if waiting and using the empirical evidence at hand to determine what happen in the in the moments leading up to a police shooting is "basis" then the term has been reduce to nothing at all.

also never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.

We do have some Low I.Q people in positions of power who should not be..

So... ask a question that's basically a strawman, and then react with denial when you get serious answers.

This is very consistent with the standard discourse from the right wing. It's still talking to an empty chair, projecting the enemy you want to see into it instead of dealing with real people. The left wing that the OP is talking about is the boogeyman in his own mind, rather than real people.



It's still this. Dear right wingers, lift your eyes from the empty chair. Talk with us, and you might find some common ground instead of being so afraid of people and ideas that only exist in your own minds.

I truly believe that they are not even interested in finding common ground. Instead, their only interest is in gaining control of the electorate through fear.

i support police.....i know many of them personally

most are good people trying to do a hard job

but they are human beings, and they make errors.....

i am interested in your definition of support of police brutality though....

Nope, you're wrong there, just because it has the word "socialist" in it, it doesn't they are left. The Democratic People's Republic of Korea isn't democratic either.
