Why aren't Trump attys involved in the recount?

If it were me, I would want to be monitoring the recounts. Why do you suppose we haven't heard that Trump reps will be on hand?

Why is Jill Stein behind this effort? What does she have to gain?

In an election cycle that's been as dirty as this one, do you trust the recounts?
 
If it was all above board, why would Trump worry? They can only find "millions" of fake Hillary votes, if he is to be believed.
 

Because he's barely capable of handling a transition team. Trump is a marketer, not some brilliant intellect.
 

1) Even if two of those three states changes from Trump to Clinton he will still be POTUS. Cost/benefit analysis says why bother.

2) Free publicity and cash.

3) See #2 above.

4) Yep, as much as I trusted the initial count.
 

I think stein wants anyone but trump, and hillary never requested the recounts, and only went along when they were inevitable. Given the legal team and her reluctance for a recount, I think she had some things to hide a hand recount might have shown.

And how has his handling of the transition disappointed you? How has he been barely capable?

See, I don't understand why she would give a crap. I also think HC is behind the recounts. Doesn't it sound exactly like something her team would do? Get that done in the background and try to detach herself from the process? I never had the sense she was reluctant...
 

well the clock is running out of time and they need to do those recounts fast, and if the new count has too much discrepency over the official count, it could be thrown out in court over the original official count.

She had the money to order a recount right after the election, and chose not to. Like I said there may be something to hide especially if stuff like project veritas ended up being true and the party commited voter fraud in wisconsin.
 

The morning Free Press in Detroit today said that both Dems and Republicans are looking for volunteers to monitor the process. So apparently the Trump people are on this already.

As of a few days ago it was reported that Trump turned down the daily intelligence briefings every day but 2 since the election. He can't be bothered with them. He has had more meetings with business associates since his win than intelligence briefings. Mike Pence has had one nearly every day. Like a grown up that understands he has a job to do. If you were the president elect and you were looking for a way to tell people that you don't give a **** without just coming out and saying it, I can't think of a better way than to skip nearly every single chance you've had at daily intelligence briefings. Especially when you are a candidate with no governing experience and no foreign policy experience other than building golf courses and tall buildings. I honestly am not sure if Trump is capable of sitting down for an hour or two and absorbing the important and complicated information from our intelligence agencies. I know that sounds absurd, that I'm questioning his ability to sit still for an hour and just take in information and process it, but there's no evidence that he's capable of it. Or it's possible that the daily briefings contain info on how Russia is currently helping Syria bomb and chemical weapons on innocent civilians and he just simply doesn't believe it so he'd rather not listen to it, but I have no idea. I just can't fathom a man who ran for President for 18 months not wanting daily briefings. Wouldn't you do it if you were even remotely interested in the job of president?

Recounts don't sway elections unless it's a vote difference of <1,000. There's no need for Trump to be present.

He probably doesn't want to be indoctrined by the consistently wrong intelligence briefings that have led us into multiple unnecessary wars.

1. So what if the daily briefings contain info hon how Russia is helping Syria bomb people. Russia is there by Syrian invite. He probably wants to meet with people on how to get us out of that quagmire, not with hand wringing neocons who think that Russia is the worst thing ever.

2. Maybe te national intelligence agencies can focus more on actual threats to our security. Russia literally told us that the Tsarnaev brothers were dangerous terrorists but our intelligence agencies were too busy arming terrorists to give a damn.

3. Our national intelligence should be more concerned about why Dutarte told our government to go to hell and is seeking closer relationships with China.

All over the world people are eating our lunch and openly bragging about it. Our Secretary of State and our National Security agenices are ****ing and useless.
 

Have we heard Trump observers won't be?

Stein is not behind this effort. Stein is in front of it. Stein couldn't raise enough money to buy a new dress yet comes up with several million for a recount. Hillary or her followers are behind this recount. Possibly ego is involved. Neither Hillary or Soros are used to losing, or Soros is attempting to recoup his investment in Hillary.

Do I trust the recount? Probably as much as the vote. I think that small problems will be found, but nothing to offset the EC advantage now held by Trump. Hillary has to not only cause Trump to lose votes, but must show a significant gain herself. Otherwise it goes to the House. Trump wins.

Another possibility that occurs to me is that this recount is just a stall for time. There are two weeks until the official vote. If there is no clear mandate, what happens? Can Mr. Pen and Phone call for an extension? Possibly. I don't know.

This is a good place to start. Can you point me to the consistently wrong intelligence briefings and exactly what they have gotten wrong?

The end around smell of this recount is pervasive. The Clinton's learn fast and they do not make the same mistake twice. The server will not be found in her bathroom nor will her name be on the recall. Stein is nothing more than the front person.

Trump believes that 3 million fraudulent votes were cast in favor of Hillary Clinton. Instead he is attacking Stein/Clinton for requesting a recount at the same time attempting he is calling into question the legitimacy of the election results ... which is not the smartest strategy.

It's a mess for someone who's supposed to be capable of running the United States. Notice how the team is (1) not selecting candidates based on competency and (2) not even vetting the candidates? ... not that I'm complaining, because it's an all-expense paid ticket to a scandal infested administration. However it shows the poor decision-making of this organization.

Or, this Romney/Sec' of State battle that's playing out in the public. That's either complete insubordination, or it's evidence of the dysfunction of the team's reporting structure. No one, absolutely no one should be publicly discussing or making public criticisms about such a key position. The behavior that is currently being shown by top Trump confidants would be grounds for dismissal at most organizations.

She is doing her own PR and marketing. She could very well run against Trump as a dem. She has been bashing both Trump and Hillary in twitter, and is getting press with the recount effort.

And if they find problems with the votes cast it is a bad thing? I would think both sides would want to ensure that if any funny business is identified they can find ways to prevent it in the future, why would that be a bad thing. Oh, I would note that the article itself says that they have not found anything that would reverse the election results so I do not see the outrage.

The Recount-athon is a bad idea.
The Repubs will use this as an excuse to push voter ID laws
The Dems will lose credibility because nothing will be changed and they will be tagged as hypocrites
The Donald loses nothing by appearing to be above this waste of time activity.
