why are the Bush people, always being proscuted as criminals.
Patrick, I must disagree. If a Democrat does a crime, they go to jail too. Just look at William Jefferson, who is likely going to do a long time in prison (and rightfully so.)
I really don't think something that happened in 1983 has any real relavence to now. Show me something that happened in THIS millenia.
Gerry Studds of Massachusetts
How about a standing ovation from your peers instead of jailtime?
Q. Why don't congressmen use bookmarks?
A. Because they prefer bent over pages.
Wrong question. Why is it that when Republicans are convicted of a crime they go to jail and Democrats don't? Could it be the court system recognizes that Democrats are essentially irresponsible and shouldn't be held to account?

There have been obsessive compulsive partisans who have simply used every chance they could get to assault his administration from Day One. And in the beginning their numbers were relatively small so they recruited anyone and everyone they could to join in their efforts. They invited every subversive of every stripe, alien or domestic, and every anti US, anti GOP, anti Bush wing nut looking for a cause or someone to blame because there are volcanoes (Right. It doesn't make sense. That's the point.) to help create an undercurrent of antagonism and hostility toward GWB.
Now when their numbers have grown sufficiently large they know they will have a good enough chance of prosecuting administration officials in a mob environment where they have already primed the crazy court of public opinion against Bush.
They wait until the timing is right before they set the hook.
And even when the charges are as flimsy as the $54 million dry cleaning case they know they will snag SOMETHING OR SOMEONE no matter what.
So they just play their vicious, petty little games as a way of misdirecting the voters from paying attention to their pandering on the war.
I know, I know, did not someone ask why Democrats side with criminals.
So the Republicans feel that if they are convicted as felons, that they will gain support of the Democrats.
So Bush, Cheney, and the Neoconservatives should go to prison and we democrats will be glad to support them.
I ain't got no reason why that thar is!Originally Posted by RightinNYC
