Who's got an LDL success story to brag on?

I started atorvastatin a decade ago based on scientific proof and documentation of hard endpoints (death, cardiovascular event reduction) and knowledge that decreasing a surrogate marker with stuff I’ve heard ‘good things about’ is generally a bad idea.

Your LDL isn’t the problem- it’s the affect it’s having on your coronary/cerebral plaque.

And not lowering it to established effective levels with proven methods is pointless. That pretty much includes diet, since most dietary adjustments are minimally effective, especially if your LDL is high enough to worry about.
