Who is the Patron Saint of the US?

In catechism we were taught the miracle of the appearance of the Virgen de Guadalupe, but I don’t recall any discussion of the patron saint of the U.S.

Because of the ethnic background of Catholics in suburban Los Angeles, we also knew the patron saints of Ireland and Italy (San Francesco and Santa Caterina, plus Sant’Antonio for good measure).

Saint Patrick for Ireland will be widely known, I think
