Who Is the Heir to the MAGA Movement? Trump Keeps His Options Open

In case you are not aware, there are a number of conservative posters here that are anti-Trump AND and Democrat. They are somewhat homeless.
There are a couple conservative posters who are not pro Trump, however there are also posters claiming conservative in their profile who are clearly not conservative. The latter side nearly exclusively with democrats.

Following the trend of movie Idiocracy, the next Republican nominee will be decided in a UFC cage match. Other requirements will include cheating on one’s wife with a pornstar just like Trump, and being a convicted felon just like Trump. The nominee will need to be a good fighter and also a corrupt piece of a shit like Trump. Visits to Epstein’s island also a requirement.

I’d hate to be a Republican. Republicans now associated with corruption, immorality, and just being a belligerent piece of shit.

Incompetence and ignorance a must. Education must not include anything more than an 5th grade education. The more educated the more likely they will not get nominated. Dumb as shit. Uneducated and immoral.

Must have a meme coin.

Must use their position to enrich themselves and their family. So being a corrupt piece of shit is an absolute must.

WASHINGTON—At least twice in recent months, President Trump has declined to formally crown Vice President JD Vance as the successor to the MAGA movement.

Instead, Trump is leaving his options open.

On Tuesday, he told reporters Vance is probably the favorite to succeed him, echoing what he has privately told associates. But Trump also talked up another administration official who has emerged as one of his most trusted advisers: Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

Other Republicans widely seen as potential contenders include: Govs. Glenn Youngkin of Virginia, Brian Kemp of Georgia, Sarah Huckabee Sanders of Arkansas and Ron DeSantis of Florida, as well as Sens. Tim Scott of South Carolina and Ted Cruz of Texas.

Does this look like a winning field of candidates to you? My top two picks from the bunch would be Sarah Huckabee Sanders and Ted Cruz, either one of which would almost surely result in a Democratic President.
It is a cult without any substantive core beliefs. It is pretty rare for the cult to continue on after the death of the cult leader. MAGA is not an exception. Hence it matters not if Trump "names a successor" as it is very unlikely that person would succeed.

Trump will keep his anointed successor to himself for now, he dont like sharing the pedestal.
Trump has no power to appoint a successor.... he can say "follow him" but to no avail as cults do not work that way.

The Trump cult relies far to much on Trump's daily tweets, edicts and mutterings (it has no core ideology) to sustain itself beyond his life...

Well, the person you addressed on this subject, think he is "blue" is a conservative that does not like Trump. He is no Democrat.

Really hoping that this is true — if the country is going to be able to recover from MAGA assaults on institutions and the U.S. Constitution.

The real damage that Trump has done, however, is show us all how vulnerable American democracy actually is, including the incredible cowardice of our elected leaders and our core institutions. A smarter, more ruthless individual has a clear road map to autocracy (if we are not already there). Even if the Trump cult does not survive, American democracy may still be lost.

Ted Cruz was actually my first choice in 2016. He could be a viable candidate in 2028; however, I would give the edge and my support to JD Vance. Perhaps a Vance/Rubio ticket. I would actually love to see Ted Cruz on the US Supreme Court.
Ted Cruz? ROFL

It has to tweak lil'JD just a tad to have utterly cucked himself to Taco and not gotten a full throated endorsement as heir apparent.

That said? Nobody debased and emasculated themselves for Taco like Cruz. ****, that little bitch threw his own wife under the bus to lick Taco's ass.

A true cultist thinking someone who doesn’t exercise, eats poorly, doesn’t start “working” til noon, and spends a lot of time on social media as being full of energy.
No kidding! Those observations must be based on his tweets and phone ins because he really isn't doing public events that much. Interviews on the way to AF1 and Oval Office visits yes but not much more other than a few canned events. Yes he is animated when he does them but most of his energy is expended on truth social

Really means: They don't believe in cratering the country like Trump does, so they are officially unqualified.
No, that's not what it means.

These are the Elites...

Democrats want power; Republicans want money.

Democrats use money to get power; Republicans use power to get money.

The ideology of the democrats drives their donor activity.

The donor activity drives the republican ideology.
