Actually he subsequently descended during the reincarnation event. This has been playing out every 50 or so years for the last two millennia. The poor dude’s soul really has been put through the wringer.

That said, I vow to be a better caretaker for his soul. Right now I am introducing his soul to the Cyberpunk 2077 expansion as well as Alan Wake 2.
