Who is a Christian?

Who says? If one seeks Atlantis, one looks at all ancient data that regards the subject. If one is interested in Pompeii, one seeks Mt. Vesuvius. If a researcher doesn't know what he's looking for he will find plenty of nothing.
That is true. No one knows for sure if Atlantis actually existed. Actually, it appears it doesn't. So if someone says it and found evidence. They are biased and not accurate.

...
Atlantis (Ancient Greek: Ἀτλαντὶς νῆσος, romanized: Atlantìs nêsos, lit. 'island of Atlas') is a fictional island mentioned in Plato's works Timaeus and Critias as part of an allegory on the hubris of nations

I find the guy interesting, but I see this as another way to simply explain the GOD if the Bible away...
It's biased research with a mind set to find evidence for ancient aliens. And so, they come up with all sorts of probable reasons why it was possible.
But it's mostly stories and from a biased research point of view.

So, while it makes for good reading or tv, it's fictional.

Unless, you think they helped the Egyptians build the pyramids.
As probable as slaves that didn't exist at the time.

I wrote: ". . . though there are some contradictions among them"

And what would they be?

Apologies for taking so long to reply - work and travel got in the way.

Contradictions in comments that Jesus supposedly said - using the NASB

Matthew10:34 “Do not think that I came to cast peace on the earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.

Matthew 26:52
Then Jesus *said to him, “Put your sword back into its place; for all those who take up the sword shall perish by the sword.

John 5:31 “If I testify about myself, my testimony is not true. 32 There is another who testifies on my behalf, and I know that his testimony to me is true.

John 8:13 Then the Pharisees said to him, “You are testifying on your own behalf; your testimony is not valid.” 14 Jesus answered, “Even if I testify on my own behalf, my testimony is valid because I know where I have come from and where I am going, but you do not know where I come from or where I am going.

John 15:12 My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.

Luke14:25 Now large crowds were going along with Him; and He turned and said to them, 26 “If anyone comes to Me, and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be My disciple.
The following passages MAY be seen as non-contradictory, but there is no description of the disciples being "clothed with power."
Luke 24:49 And behold, I am sending forth the promise of My Father upon you; but you are to stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high.”
Matthew 28:19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I commanded you

Every example has to do with context...cherry picking does produce results that appear to be contradictions...until one understands the context...
