Who is a Christian and what is Christianity?

A point not in dispute.

Does Jesus reject Christians in Matthew 7:21-23? And why does he do so? Is it because they claimed to be followers but didn't actually produce Godly fruit?
Here is one point of view: https://www.gotquestions.org/Matthew-7-21-23.html

Here is another simpler point regarding Matthew 7:21-23

I Never Knew You

21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ 23 And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’

What's clearly missing! Where is the profession of FAITH?!?! There should come FIRST and paramount an acknowledgement that . JESUS died for his/her sins! "I've sinned and you saved me! Thank you!" That's the MOST IMPORTANT THING! It's not about "didn't I do this and didn't I do that" Isaiah 64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
And frankly, there are some nice people out there striving very hard (even professing to be "Christian"), and if you ask them how to get to heaven (and that's another whole issue with JW's ), they will say, "Well, I hope so. I go to church nearly every Sunday, and I pay my tithe, and I'really do try to be a "good" person." WHAT's MISSING?!?!?
