Hey guys,

I have a question. Since we all know that there is a hierarchy in both parties, Who are the shot callers? Are Reid and Pelosi the Democrat kingpins? Is Karl Rove a shot caller for the Republicans? I don't want to start a debate, but I'm just curious as to who the true power players are when it comes to politics? (I had a feeling that the establishment was behind Romney from day 1 last year) My guess would be that George Soros is a kingpin for the Democrats, and the Koch brothers are some of the Republican shot callers. Thanks

I suspect that they're all corporate bigwigs in league with each other - Right or Left. I wouldn't be surprised their leaders weren't even household names.

It's not so much who is a spokesperson for the party at a given momment.

It's which faction in the party is in power.

In the liberal Democrats, it's the Multi-Cultural Internationalists, obviously headed by the biggest MCI of all: President Obama.

In the conservative Republicans, it's the Corporate Global Expansionsists, of which Romney was a more vocal member of the CGEs.

These two factions, the MCIs and the CGEs, are the shot-calling factions in each of the two polarized wing-parties today, and others in the party are responsive to them.

Goldman Sachs calls the shot in both parties. Both parties serve the same interests. That is to say, their own selfish interests, at a personal level, each one.

The incredible problem here is that I cannot satisfactorily answer your question. Such large political monopolies not having a de jure central leadership seem idiotic to me. I believe that political parties as such should have a proper party leader. One that is elected by the party members. Not and anarchistic rabble that are loosely tied together by members that hold high positions and vaugely similar ideals.
