What Obama is negotiating with Iran is not a treaty ... it is a Sole Executive Agreement. A SEA is not considered a treaty under US law.any treaty has to be ratified by congress. that is in the constitutional Obama cannot sign a treaty without congressional approval no matter what he thinks.
his executive agreement is about as worthless as the paper he signed.
Anytime Isreal doesnt approve, the US government will bow down to it and please them however it can... :roll:Simpleχity;1064529982 said:White House agrees to give Congress a say on an Iran deal
Although Obama is negotiating with Iran via a "Sole Executive Agreement" which bypasses Congress, I believe this issue is too important to totally exclude Congress. There simply must exist checks and balances to ensure that any nuclear deal with Iran is extremely robust and that compliance is exceedingly verifiable.

If Obama's SEA was truly meaningless vis-s-vis Iran as you claim, Congress wouldn't be voting this week on the oversight proposal by Senator Bob Corker of Tennessee.which is meaningless.

A US presidential Sole Executive Agreement is considered a legal treaty under international law, but it is not considered a legal treaty under US law.
People like Boehner are stupid fools who don't have the ability to understand what is in U.S. interests. People like this are more interested in lining their pockets, than in doing what is best for the U.S. It is moronic to think that they will add any value to this process.
What makes you think that Congress is any more capable of ensuring that the deal is credible than the executive branch?
They want in it to kill it. Although, I don't believe it would make them too popular with the rest of P5.

Important in what way? Iran is going to have its nukes regardless of any agreements. The question is simply will they have them with a stronger economy or not? Why does that matter?
I don't think Iran will get to that point.
Israel, as they should will eventually act in their best interest and strike Iran Militarily.
You think that after decades of work, billions of dollars in expenditure and secret underground facilities, the Iranians will stop their progress toward a bomb because Israel bombs them? I sure don't.

Lets get real.
The President is now letting the Congress in on this Iran deal because its been a circus from the start.
Kerry and Obama got caught in a lie and now it looks like the Iranians aren't going to allow monitoring of their Military sites.
Obama is simply going to blame Congress now when this thing crashes and burns and his low information supporters are going to agree with him.
