Would you support harsher sentences for white collar crimes? Seems that you can be an AIG executive and only get 4 years and a $200,000 fine for stealing millions of dollars.
I am in favor or a sliding scale, 1 year for each $50,000 stolen.....plus forfeiture of nearly all your assets, leaving just enough so that we are not leaving the wife/family destitute.
If in a position of public trust, you should be held to a high standard, and punished accordingly.
Same for politicians....

I could get behind this.

I think that is too light of a sentence,if someone can have a little bit of dope and lose everything they own,why not white collar to.
I would think that for every 10 dollars, 1 year sounds about right, and all assets taken, cars, house, savings, everything. Then they might think twice about it.
Politicians they are supposed to look after us,if they take special interest money they are selling out the people who voted them in,and the U.S. for personal gain, therefor a traitor to the country, and the death penalty is the only appropriate action for that.
