'Whistleblower' in White House security clearance office gets suspended

Who is the person who makes the final decision? The specialists like the one who was suspended, or someone above them?

Since when did it become the norm to go against the judgement of long time career security specialists? Since the Trumps got into town? Thank God, neither Mr Kline or the White House gets to make the final decision as to who gets clearance to see the most sensitive secret information of all. Which is SCI level clearance. The CIA are the final arbiters on that and they have made it clear that in Mr Kushner's case there's no ****ing way that is going to happen. But it should trouble us all that Mr Kushner apparently failed to meet the standards necessary to obtain a"Top Secret" level clearance given the high level and highly sensitive position he holds in the White House.

So...instead of talking about the "whistleblower"...which happens to be the topic of this thread...you, like the OP and his stupid article, want to make this about...what...Trump/Russia?

Trump lives in your brain, doesn't he?

I have been talking about the whistle blower if you had been paying attention. Clearly she has been been targeted for harassment because of having been one of those who rendered an opinion that the President's son in-law ought not to be granted a top security clearance. I know it's hard, but do try to keep up.

I’m asking about the process. Not really interested in your rant.

I don't see that there is any implication that this particular story is "connected" to Trump and Kushner. But Klein's name is known because of his connection to Trump and Kushner. And this story is about her issue with Klein.

I just told you about the process. A important process that has apparently been corrupted. You should be interested. We all should.

Sadly it's the whistleblowers who catch the flak not the guilty. Maybe that's why Mark Felt never came out in public and rather became deep throat. He knew the consequences of whistleblowing and what happens to them.

Yups! But you see my point its kinda like the Smiling teen with the "MAGA Hat" Needless and instigating reporting intending to blur the issue at hand with a political bias.

There is no blurring of the issues here as the connections between this cast of characters are quite clear.

Not to mention he was potentially risking his own life.

No they are 2 completely separate issues and to conflate the 2 is intentional instigating discord and "fake news"

issues

1) Kline, is accused of discriminating against Newbold. Newbold files an EEOC claim, Newbold is then suspended

2) Kline is reported by NBC as the one that over ruled the decision to allow Kushner's Security clearance.

Thus they should be reported and investigated separately. and should NOT be conflated nor correlated. NOR has anything to do with TRUMP... just Kline and Kushner.

No it isn't. The story is news because of who Kline is. Kline made news because of Kushner. There is nothing close to the "MAGA hat" story. And there is no blur here. They reported the facts, which is who she is, who he is, and that she filed suit against him.

Ill agree to disagree I see it through a different lense I guess, BUT I respect your point as well as its valid... I just interpret it different thats all!

Just kind tired of seeing anything that connects trump and its like IMPEACH!!! (Not you...just some of the crazy MSM post I have been seeing lately)

Wait...what?

Who said she "rendered an opinion that the President's son in-law ought not to be granted a top security clearance"?

Do you know something NBCNews didn't mention?

Okay, now this is silly. This doesn't come close to the level of an impeach Trump thread.

Kline became national news last week because of the Kushner security clearance stories that came out. This story would not be news if that had not happened - and Kline only made news because the subject was Kushner.

I guess the Trump angle is this is his WH and Kushner is his son in law.

To me the only important thing was the physical aspect of what she claims Kline did, which was confirmed by 2 unnamed sources. That's why I only commented on that in my first post in here.

And I tried to edify it in my post, THAT you did IN FACT try to discuss the ACTUAL POINT of the report NOT the implied point of the report.

So in all fairness "WE" really are on the same page I agree with you pretty much.

Just take a look at the page 2 went right back to trump LOL!

You wish that they could be separate. But they're not. One begot the other. And why does Mr Kushner need this clearance. Because he's an advisor to the President. who happens to be his father in-law. All that goes into the same pot.

You can't separate Trump and Kushner from this story for the reasons that I mentioned. They are both part of the story. I just chose not to opine on that. But that doesn't mean we pretend they are characters brought up for absolutely no reason, like, say, Hillary Clinton or Harrison Ford, who would have absolutely zero connection to the central characters in this story.

Has she not heard about ladder technology?

Am I suppose to believe walls dont eork but shelves do?

Newbold sounds like a snowflake

So the potential for bias here raises fed flags for you. Do the potential for bias on the mueller team also raise red flags for you?

Well, not really. You talked about the CIA which has no jurisdiction or authority over the White House clearance process.

It's not alright for a 'superior' to do something that is unethical and/or contrary to national security interests of this country.

If she leaked information, yes, she deserves to be fired. There seem to be a lot of people who think the rules no longer applies to them because Trump is President.
