A) A $30,000 income with a $0.00 tax burden?
or
B) A $250,000 income with a $125,000 tax burden?
Why do you think your answer is the most advantageous for you?
What are you talking about? I Kobiyashi Maru'd that thing so therefore I passed. I should get a commendation for original thinking too.ernst barkmann

See me after class. You will have a chance to change your F into a C with the make up assignment.

I checked again. I didn't see your vote. The only people that made an A+ were the people that voted for Option A because they put principle ahead of themselves. They were willing to lose $95,000 to stand up for what they believe.
They weren't pretending to be a Libertarian. A true Libertarian would have voted Option A.
More like a Trew Libertarian. There was no viable vote because there was no realistic options. You might have had a vote from me but you placed limits that removed any real world standing from the scenario. The simply fact that I would never be able to move my self up from the $30k level if I choose that path made it unrealistic. And that was just for starters.
Somethings go without saying. I know which one that you would prefer.Don't worry. I won't tell. :ssst:
Is this just a stupid argument used as a front to attack Libertarian ideology? Do you want 30K or 125K? I'll take 125K...OMG You're not a libertarian!!!!
No, someone just can do math. Jesus Christ, it's a two choice hypothetical, that's it. Any intricacies of debating income tax are not offered for this discussion, it's a simple "do you like more money or less" question. So sorry some people understand math, but you're little "I gotcha!" moment here is nothing but absurdity and ignorance. Try a better argument.
Read my reply again. Your poll was rigged so I went with C. Since C wasnt available I didnt vote.I checked again. I didn't see your vote. The only people that made an A+ were the people that voted for Option A because they put principle ahead of themselves. They were willing to lose $95,000 to stand up for what they believe.
They weren't pretending to be a Libertarian. A true Libertarian would have voted Option A.
I didnt vote.
Those who commented in this thread but didn't vote will be receiving the grade of F and I will be guessing at what their answer would have been if they would have voted. I made many exceptions. There were some Libertarians and Conservatives who didn't vote. I gave them an incomplete and will be explaining the make up assignment a little bit later.
I already said why I didnt vote. Rigged polls are rigged.
Option A implies that you live in a place where at least some people have a 0.00% tax rate.
Option B implies that you live in a place where at least some people have a 50.00% tax rate.
Option C is the real world and tax system that exists today.
Which world sounds the best?
This is a reminder to some of you that have not voted in this poll. The poll is closing soon.
...the premise is wrong, the poll is meaningless, and everything the thread accomplished is a mirage.
Voting for this thread is finally closed and the winning answer is:
B) $250,000 income with a $125,000 tax burden.
It seems that most participants in this poll chose to have a better quality of life over the principle of being against excessively high taxes. There are three exceptions: those participants chose principle over selfish gain. Anybody who would sacrifice $95,000 for a higher ideal deserves an A+. Those who voted Option B in this poll but didn't make comments received a grade of B-. Keeping your mouth shut can sometimes save you a lot of trouble in life. Those who voted Option B in this poll but made comments made a C. I do admire your honesty but let's face it Option B was the easy answer. I can't give you extra credit for taking the easy way out. These people will see an I beside their name. Wait patiently. Your grades will be posted within the hour.
You hate the truth.
