oh, wow, you certainly are repressed, maybe i should list the times i got hassled by black people when i was walking to my then girlfriends house, simply because it was an area with a majority of black residents, or the time i was kept out of a section of the public library because there was a group of black people there, but i don't go calling that black elitism, nor do i apply it to the entire ethnic group, i just put it down to individual dickheads.
I say following the request of a store manager is common sense.
There could have been a terrorist in the store targeting black people.
however, among whites, it's more wide-spread and germane.
Please.....
Can we just go with the incarceration stats?.........
You know nothing about my mindset. Many blacks learn critical thinking but many do not (like there are many whites who do not). The attitude of rejecting a "white-man's education" is something that is strictly on the black side of the house and prevents many blacks from learning critical thinking.
You do have a victimization viewpoint. You feel that opportunities are owed to you as a result of your race.
Excuse me, but you know mine?
Prime example of "white privilege" on display. You can tell me about me, but I dare not tell you about you.
White man's education? I would imagine that many black doctors and physicists would laugh at the thought. Now you have your own "edu-ma-cation". The arrogance is galling.
I quit. I'm not going to mix it up any further with you, and incur an infraction.
Ignore.
Did I say that? I don't think so.
If you are at a comedy club and the context of you being there is to be entertained and to told humorous things, then you KNOW that what you are hearing is being told in jest. Takes the bite right out of the racist aspect of the comment. Context.
Here's a specific example:
1) Comedian at a comedy club: "Ah... Jews... gotta love those money-grubbing bastards".
2) Politician discussing his constituency: "Ah... Jews... gotta love those money-grubbing bastards".
3) CaptainCourtesy demonstrating the difference of contexts at Debate Poltiics: "Ah... Jews... gotta love those money-grubbing bastards".
Do you see the difference in contexts?
:applaud .
First, mind answering my previous post to you. Interested to hear your counter.
Second, so are you suggesting that if someone does something...REGARDLESS OF THE CONTEXT...then they should never be upset if anyone else does the same thing, regardless of the context?
Is that what you're really saying?
Does this mean that about 4 times as many blacks get punished for crimes in the US than whites? Given that blacks make up what 13% of the population, and whites make up 46%, that means there is a 30:2 ratio by population of blacks going to prison over whites. Seems the black community have a crime problem and I can't really be surprised that people have trust issues when they see black males.
What was that question?
Correct. Its like people who use the word nigger, nigga or some other form of the word or those who tolerate other people using that word and then bitch when someone else uses it. Those people are hypocrites and have no room to complain about others doing the same thing.
I don't use the word, and I don't condone the use of the word.
Non sequitur.
What was that question?
I wouldn't go up to a random guy on the street and tell the following joke either:
What's the difference between a cadillac and a pile of dead babies
I don't have a Cadillac in my Garage.
I also wouldn't go up to a random girl on the street and ask her "Do you have a any italian in you" and when she says no ask her "Do you want some"
Does it mean those things are racist because I wouldn't go up to a random person on the street and say them? No, it means that jokes whose humor comes from being offensive are generally ACTUALLY offensive to a bad degree when made without any context, to complete strangers.
Hanging black people, in a general sense sans context, is not funny.
A pile of dead babies, in a general sense sans context, is not funny.
Propositioning a woman for sex, without any prior interaction, is generally not funny.
That doesn't mean that given a proper situations and context that they couldn't be funny.
Correct. Its like people who use the word nigger, nigga or some other form of the word or those who tolerate other people using that word and then bitch when someone else uses it. Those people are hypocrites and have no room to complain about others doing the same thing.
So you do not listen to a lot of rap music or watch black movies that have use the word, and the Boondocks?
just in case you do not know what the boondocks are.
I know the joke is racist regardless of context and would only tell my friends and family that joke regardless of their race.Response to your questioning concerning walking up to a man on the street
So if you've ever, in the vicinity of friends or as a joke, made lewd and completely crude comments or insinuation about a women then you should never be upset if someone comes up to your girlfriend/wife and goes "WOW, I'd love to **** you right now. Drop this guy and let me tear that ass up".
I know the joke is racist regardless of context and would only tell my friends and family that joke regardless of their race.
I fail to see how trying t0 pick up another guy's chick right in front of that guy somehow the same thing as racism.
I hate rap music, being a musician myself. So, no, I don't listen to it, if I can help it.
Black movies? That feature, exclusively, use of the n-word??? I would avoid it like the plague. And I don't read Boondocks.
I am elitist, sophisticated, and intellectual. In other words, "uppity".
I find it odd that you obviously do, identifying as very conservative. Somehow, there is a disconnect somewhere. Care to explain?
Right, and because you're tell it in such a place and context that it doesn't make the people there think you're a racist and/or doesn't offend them doesn't magically make it impossible for you to think its wrong to say it in other places.
Doesn't matter that its the same as racism, its the same principle. If someone says "nigger" ever you're saying they can't be mad about someone else saying "Nigger" no matter the context. Using that exact same logic, if you every said "Wow, I'd **** the **** out of that girl" you're saying you can't be mad about someone else saying "Wow, I'd **** the **** out of [some girl]" no matter the context, even if they walked up to do it to your girlfriend.
It doesn't matter that racism isn't on the same level as crude comments towards women to you. What matters is the REASONING behind your LOGIC is the same in both situations. And yet you seem to be rejecting your own logic when it comes to something you WANT to have an issue with, but when it comes to Race you suddenly use that logic because it suits your hidden agenda.
the joke it self is still racist it doesn't matter if it is a black guy or white guy who first told you the joke.
I think if someone came up to my girlfriend/wife and goes "WOW, I'd love to **** you right now. Drop this guy and let me tear that ass up". I would be pissed regardless who said it and why. So context does not matter.
Excuse me, but you know that is not true. All minorities don't have equality of opportunity, hence contingency plans exist (i.e. Affirmative Action, ACLU, due process, etc...). Congress doesn't have one black Republican senator or representative. Are you denying that "white privilege" exists, and that whites don't use it to their clear advantage?
UCCS | WPC knapsack
1069 is a little screwed up in the head.

By going into an upscale resale shop, and being "eyed down", like I'm going to steal something. Being told by the salesclerk not to "run through any bushes", in my DKNY jacket, out the clear blue sky. When riding a bus, and an outside seat becomes available, and the overweight white guy, moves to occupy 2 seats so that I can't sit down, though laden with packages.
Or, standing at a bus stop, and 2 little white ladies pull up in a late model Benz, and upon seeing me, in suit and tie, lock their doors and roll up their windows. I could go on and on...most of the time, I breathe a heavy sigh and roll my eyes. "Unless I give it to them"???? You have no idea what you're talking about.
At least you are consistent.
Are you saying that conservatives can't enjoy a little rap, black movies, satire and other things?
