Given the robotic bleating by our local electric sheep that Democrats would have released all Epstein documents, specially if they named Trump, I wondered if this actually would benefit documents more than putting Trump in a position of having to release documents that may name him.

What say ye folks, which of these two possibilities benefit Democrats most?

Democrats release the files and Trump isn't in them. Trump claims victory, points to Democrats in the files, Trump wins.

Democrats release the files and Trump is in them. Trump claims it's all fake news, hoax, bamboo paper files, etc., so not a single MAGA retracts their oath of loyalty to Donald. Neither side wins.

Trump releases the files and Trump is in them. Trump immediately claims that it's all fake news, hoax, bamboo paper files etc. and furthermore that he didn't actually release them but instead it was a Democrat false flag operation to make it seem like he released them when really they did it all along. Not a single MAGA retracts their oath of loyalty to Donald. Neither side wins.

So, the way I see this, it doesn't matter who releases the files, and the best Democrats can hope for is a neutral result.

This is why you don't fight a religious cult with facts and transparency. It's a useless endeavor.
 

While we can't do anything about the cultists what matters is showing swing voters the files.

They will decide if they think Trump being in them warrants further action and they will decide the outcome with their votes.
The mid terms could be brutal if they decide to flee the Republicans because their leader is in those files.
 
The problem is that Donald told the swing voters that They're Eating the Cats, and those swing voters said, "cool, let's vote for the cat eating dude." I question how much actual swing they have.
 
The ground has already been laid folks. It's come to the point where ANY evidence that might come to light about Trump will be dismissed as planted, or fake, or doctored, or something by his loyal bootlickers.

It's a cult. Full stop. End of story.
 
There is a principle in this country that there is no guilt by association, and there is also the desire to assign guilt by association. If there is evidence of crimes having been committed, then try them in a court of law.

Would you be fine with a politician who was found to be best friends with a serial killer?
Politicians are held to a higher standard as they get to set the rules we all live by.

Any politician.

People would have serious questions about the judgement of a politician who's friends with a serial killer.

There have to be some standards.

I think any politician who helps a serial killer kill should be prosecuted. I hope we can agree on that.

Other - demorats releasing the ‘client list’ (implicating Trump) immediately after Epstein’s death would have been most (politically) beneficial.
