I see no reason to believe that reparations will do any good other than start fights about who gets them, and how much, and who's ancestor was a slave long enough to warrant a check. I will remain an opponent until someone convinces me that connecting this check with slavery, is going to accomplish something that other checks not so associated with slavery will not. I am liberal politically but I want societal programs that provide checks, to gain something of tangible value to society, worth the trouble and angst it took to produce it. I have not heard that argument.

I think there is a convincing argument for reparations but it should be for the citizens on the continent of Africa, not Black Americans.

I am 100% on board for all the people that believe in reparations and their guilt over their privilege and their exploitation of minorities to start a fund and donate all their money to those poor downtrodden people and then take their ass back to whatever country they hail from.

Of course...the fact that 56% of black Americans thrive kind of destroys the fallacy of oppressed black America...but by all means...LIVE the strength of your convictions. Stop expecting others to carry your burdens.

Nice, bringing up another government promise to those we've abused that wasn't fulfilled. Now the amount is what 40 acres and a mule were worth in 1860 with interest and penalties added in.

Only a slacker replaces one ball joint when the spring is released. In a conventional suspension, (spring between control arms,) the lower joint supports more of the load……..
