They are called hunger stones and seeing them is never a good sign. They are memorials to difficult years with low water levels and drought. Like this summer in large parts of Europe which scientists warn could be the worst in 500 years. In the river Elbe, which flows into Hamburg, a hunger stone from the 17th century has been found, it and on it is written “When you see me, weep.”

First of all, it seems to me that such moments are connected with industrialization. Water is needed for industry, for irrigation of crops, for people in domestic and technical terms in cities, etc. as well as power plants, nuclear power plants... you can't remember everything. Although Europe, because of all the forces, propagandizes and even quite successfully convinces its population that it is so "green"... the issue is debatable, but the fact remains that the consumption of fresh water in Europe is huge, especially in case of drought, it increases even more, because due to elevated temperatures, nuclear power plants need to be cooled more, agriculture needs more water, etc., which will further aggravate the situation.
Is it climate change? It's not a fact, because these hungry stones were laid when there was no such agenda, that is, droughts have happened before... only there was never such a huge consumption of fresh water before.
The only situation is that there is a problem and it needs to be solved and there are several options here:
1) Whine, throw a tantrum, we'll all die.
2) Do not recognize the existence of problems and leave everything as it is.
3) Try to solve the problem in a practical way. To seek fresh water sources from northeast Europe and Scandinavia, to develop the seawater desalination industry.

So they had these issues in 1700.

Do we have records of the left pushing for changes to CO emissions during that same time. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Only the sins have changed, the requirement to absolve the sins through penance and the purchase of indulgences,
has remained.
