When the attempted insurrection came, it came from the Republican Party (not the libbie/socialist pigs).

Yessir. I get it now. The one insurrection done by Republicans was done by Republicans, not Democrats. And water is wet. Your wisdom never ceases to amaze me.

Thank you for admitting the Democrats weren't the ones behind the January 6 insurrection. You must have done some Googling.

hey, i give you credit for trying to divert the thread.

to be honest, it's probably your best strategy. it's hard to defend the attempted insurrection of our federal government.

Was that before or after the country suffered through months of terrorism at the hands of the "dirty libs" (as you call them).

What was the point of the thread? Was someone out there claiming that the 1/6 insurrection was actually done by Democrats? Is your next masterpeice going to be an expose on the greenness of grass?

9. months of riots, egged on, condoned and ignored by Democrats. Federal buildings were set on fire, and were under siege for weeks.

Whataboutism aside, I thought it wasn't an insurrection/sedition unless charges were levied?

Did the right wing media move your goalposts again?

again, that's not a bad strategy to divert away from the fact that the only attempted insurrection of our federal government came from the regular ole Republican party.

you watch a lot of Fox?

Ignored? Over 17,000 people have been arrested in connection with the riots.

He did refer to insurrection. What insurrection occurred in Chicago?

and that attempted insurrection of our federal government and our democracy, was tried so this guy could make more $$$$...

How many played with toy limousines as children? I had Matchbox cars and Tonka trucks. If the kid grows up to be a robber baron like his dad he'll be robber baron Barron.

it appears, at least just in your case, it was to make you mad that it's pointed out again that Republicans tried to overthrow our federal government.

I know what YOU and yours claim it is, because you only want to blame others for bad things they do. There can be more than one insurrection.
Of course there can. How was Chicago an insurrection?

Source for your claim that BLM protests were insurrections?

When did I say that?

Actually, no they didn't. They tried to overturn the election of the President. The President is not "our federal government." If all you're going to do is try to remind us of one-dimensional facts that nobody with half a brain actually disputes, at least try to get your comically simplistic point straight.

Since you appear to be intent on arguing over the definition of a word (how exciting) rather than talking about actual events that happened, would you like to post the definition again?

Or if it makes you feel better, I'm happy to call them both "terrorism" and leave you guys to your happy little tea party.

When did I say that?
When did I say you said that?

That aside, It was a theme of the right wing narrative...at least it was until Jan 6ers were charged with sedition/indirection.

An insurrection is defined as a violent uprising against authority or government. Both events seem to fit that definition pretty well.

The American system of government is based on democratic elections and the peaceful transition of power. The Capitol insurrection was a violent attempt to overthrow the democratic elections and transfer power to an illegitimate despot who in truth lost the election.
