Now wih CARFAX you can check the title history and how many owners a car has had. That has tilted the business in the buyers favor, if you know how to interpret the information.
Car dealers are not inherently evil.

Problem I have with Carfax is that, unless one's car was taken to a dealer for repairs, nothing will show up for repairs. (I don'tthink.) In my head, the only thing that would set off a red flag is a short ownership period. Like: Let me get rid of this lemon. And even that may not be true, as some people buy to resell.
I don't think car dealers are inherently evil, either. But I would never ever ever buy a used car from a used car lot. I'll buy one from a dealer. They have their reputation on the line in many more ways than a used car lot. A dealer is highly unlikely to sell a car they know have problems. But they can sure do it by accident. Buyer beware.
Now that Ive been doing this car thing for awhile and know when the best time to buy a USED vehicle, I figured I would ask YOU follks to get your opinion.
That's why we have good jobs so we can afford things like that.
Meh, even if one gets paid well, it is wise to be thrifty.
It's one thing to be thrifty, another to be cheap. If nobody ever bought new cars, there would quickly stop being used ones.
Best time to buy a used vehicle? I would say when hell freezes over... and not the first time but when it has frozen over at least three times previously.
.
So everything is about being thrifty with you, eh? Somehow I doubt that. Are you using a dial-up internet connection? So youre saying youre a sucker and know nothing about vehicles or economics. Gottcha
Well fellas I never had a issue with a used car, not a major one anyway. The problem with buying a new one is you loose a thousand or more dollars the instant you drive it off the car dealers lot. Both new and used has it perks depending on who you are and what knowledge about cars you have. I prefer used because these damn things are a deficit the minute you purchase one. Vanity, prestige means little to me these days it's all about practicality.Honestly thats pretty foolish for a number of reasons. One is depreciation. The other is there is almost always problems..... even large ones.... with a new car. Your father sounds like mine!
Never. My dad always said the man that buys a used car buys another's headache.
A friend of mine said buy new houses and used cars.
