WHat makes a marine a better man than an insurgant?

I thought I was on "ignore."

And no, you have not provided any primary research. And the opinion of a British General that you provided does not substantiate your claim that the "insurgents" in Iraq are ordinary Iraqi's defending their homes and families.

I already told you this.

A film, by the name of "the insurgency"
The primary research part is where he interviews and observes those (resistance fighers) whom we are discussing.
The fact you have not consulted this primary research he did does not change the fact I have reffered you 2 it.

as for being on ignore. I clicked view post, spoke to you, and I feel bad denying people the right of reply. So have continued to do so in this thread. I wont be doing so in other threads.

Wow, so you watched a piece of propaganda and came hear to spout it as gold. Did I miss anything?

This is nonsense.
It is not propoganda.
It is investigative journalism.
And if it is propoganda, so is every single interview with u.s. forces and/or officials.

And no, im not saying its gospel. Im saying its primary research.
But let me get this straight.

You did not consult my source, yet you have an opinion upon its contents and their validity?

In police work they call that a "clue"

Re: What makes a marine a better man than an insurgant?

And?
I gave the name pages ago.
"The Insurgency"
It is a bbc documentary.
Use my clues. Find it yourself.
Its called research.
And if you do find it, you will see that it is not propoganda, or pro insurgency.
Merely that it interviews people who claim adamently that they attack only U.S. forces (among many others, including terorists, and victims of terrorism)

Its not my job to educate you.

I can't seem to find it.

Re: What makes a marine a better man than an insurgant?

Right here ^, among other places.
U know full well that you are showing no respect., I dont rate your arguments, so why would I expend effort upon finding something for you?
Pretty simple really.
And tbh, now its a matter of principle.

Are you upset with my use of smileys? :monkeyarm

Not at all.
I merely chose not to help people who can not show me basic courtesy.

 so you need me to be nicer to you? Would you like for me to coo gently into your ear? ;)

Lighten up man, this is the internets.

I should do you a favor because this is the internet?
Nah man. U want **** from me, show some respect.

WHat makes a marine a better man than an insurgant?
Not a terrorist. Just your run of the mill mujha. Pissed off about the invasion. Wants U.S. troops to **** off. Ocassionaly gets together with his mates to strike at U.S. millitary targets. How is a U.S. soldier more virtuous than this?
Snazzy uniforms.

"the insurgency" frontline - Google Search

I think this is the docu "Real" talk is referring too...

Lucky for you I happen to be a school house trained counter-insugist! lol...

For the record I haven't watched it but can tell you from pretty regular conversation with Iraqi Military, i.e. I live, eat, sleep on a small Iraqi base in the Baghdad metro area; that the insurgency is mostly foreign. Also, (if this hasn't been mentioned already) most of the Iraqi citizens that are caught committing acts of terrorism aren't doing it for insurgenistic reasons, they are doing it to feed their families or under coercion of some sort from actual insurgents who are mostly foreigners, as I mentioned before. And Iraqi Security Forces are targeted regularly but as we have seen from the recent attacks on civilians marching to Karbala that civilians are injured or killed at a rate of about 1000 to 1 by insurgents compared to Coalition forces or ISF.

Also, the definition of insurgent should be discussed (again sorry if it has). The very definition of an insurgent, as I understand it, how I was taught the the Counter-Insugency Pheonix Academy Course, and I believe how it is used in this war, means that they are actually fighting the established government, therefore unless the current government of Iraq is denying freedom to them they cannot be called "freedom fighters".

That will be all, "real talk". Carry on with the class Rev.
