What is your opinion of someone who takes a job as an ICE agent under the Trump regime?

Really? When was Biden sending ice to cities in America far from the border. Oh, I know, he was sending them after the farmers to arrest and deport all of their 'illegal' workers, right? And of course you have proof too, right?

And why the masks all of a sudden?


If a student wears a mask during Covid we arrest them. Why do we allow uninformed masked agents to kidnap people?

THAT is so disingenuous as to defy the mind. Look, I am a leftist myself, and I agree agents of ICE should not be masked. They should be identifiable as well. Like regular police. And I don't approve of their tactics.
But to call them ALL sociopaths or racists makes our side look as hyper-partisan as the other side looks when they support masked agents who don't have to present IDs.
I have seen clips of ICE agents and MANY of them are black. I guess they must be racist as well? JAYSUS, the logic. Some ICE agents are women, must be hillbilly rednecks, right??
I would NOT work for ICE, but many have families to support and they need jobs.
I have seen the awful clips of their violent tactics, but I have also seen clips where they went out of their way to identify people without the hardnosed tactics.

I will say this to all who are reading this: Fox has made a living for decades pointing out every violent act committed by black people in an effort to paint every black person in the US as criminal.
Now we have leftwing media and leftwing posters doing the same thing. Pointing out every violent act committed by an ICE agent in an effort to paint every ICE agent as a racist.
Here in Canada where I live every time there is a police encounter with an Indigenous person, there are accusations of racism. The police are targeting the Indigenous. Some do have that attitude, it would be naive to say otherwise. That does NOT mean every cop is racist.

If we on the left want to be better than those folks on the Right then we need to act better and not do what THEY do and label everyone as something something.
 
I suppose it's subjective on position. There are other positions other than going out 'rounding people up'.

And up 50k signing, 60k loan forgiveness, and up to 90k possible(yes, operative words up to) may be enticing to some.

All of a sudden? Covering their faces and violating our Constitutional rights by ICE agents have been going on a long time.

It has just escalated dramatically under Trump - which is good because the mainstream is finally seeing how terrible ICE is.

In 2020 wearing masks was killing them but they got the mask vaccine and now it’s cool.

They really don't want to pick fruit, change hotel bed sheets, hang drywall, or trim hedges?
 
Sometimes you have to be more pragmatic than political. It's an in-demand job that can serve as a stepping stone to further your career in law-enforcement.

The Fed. and the courts say it is legal, etc.........it is not aa simple as you suggest

If advancing your career means putting a mask on, grabbing people off the street, and putting them in concentration camps, and you are willing to do that, then you are a sociopath.

That whatever job someone takes or field someone goes into is their own personal business. For me becoming an ICE agent is no different than joining the military, police force, schoolteacher or becoming a banker. Whatever job someone chooses, or field of work is their business, not mine or anyone else’s.

How many of those other jobs involve grabbing people off the street and throwing them in concentration camps?
