What Is The Most "Believable" Religion?

Since there is no evidence that supports the theory of a supreme being, I would have to say Buddhism, and other faiths in which you are requierd to believe in reincarnation . . .


However, if I was asked what theistic religion was the more believable, I would say Islam . . . God being neither man nor woman, etc, makes more sense than the big "sky daddy" of Christianity.
 

I would have to say None of the Above.
 
No real evidence of reincarnation, either.

Which religion you find most "believable" is really a matter of what things you already believe; religious belief is a choice, whether you make it consciously or unconsciously.

All anyone can actually do is consider what science and faith offer, and apportion an individual measure of personal comfort. To ascribe our present circumstances with an absolute certitude in either methodology is simply impossible... as each person's portion of truth is both individualistic and unique.


You do know that the God of Islam is the God of Christianity, right?

He's also the God of the Jews.

He is the God of Jesus, of Moses and of Mohammed, as they all bought into the God of Abraham, hence the "Abrahamic" God.

God being portrayed as male is a matter of language, not forwarded fact.
 


Ah! As soon as I read your thread title, but before I read your post, I thought, "Buddhism".
I'm glad we agree.
Admittedly, I don't find any religion particularly believable, but out of the six major world religions that I've researched, I like Buddhism the best.

AHHHH.....You got these names frome a movie called "What the Bleep Do We Know?" These people were incorporated into a psuedo-documentary(like Spinal Tap only serious) and interviewed as it pertains to the movie's setting.

I was big into MTG in high school.....still have some cards around here somewhere....I had allot of capitol, too. Unlimited and Beta Moxes, Wheel of Time, Dijons, all the Elder Dragons from Legends.....I favored Black Necro-Discard decks with a splash of blue for counter spells cuz it irritated my opponents, made them disinterested in playing out 20 rounds, made them fold.

My wife proffers mono-red direct damage: her first kill occurs on turn 3-4, and she averages 4-5 kills by turn 12. No counter spells or protections of any kind, at all. Pull out a c.o.p. red and she casts multiple direct damage spells, only smaller. Makes you tap out. Makes you not summon the creature or cast that enchantment cuz you know you need manna for fuel that c.o.p.

I once had a mono-green deck that had the entire 60 card library cast, on the table, in 10 rounds. It could never win a tenement, though...it didn't really have any offensive power.

It was an expensive deck, too... Force of Nature, Berserk, Mox Emerald....pricey...

When we played in teams, usually 3 on 3, my best friend and I would build decks that did nothing but counter spells, un-summon creatures, heal, etc. and my wife would pull out her mono-red deck....oh man....

Play any Eberron?
 
I used to play Magic too; my husband and I would participate in tournaments at the comic book shop down the street. I had a red-green-white deck (only a couple of white cards) that was well nigh unbeatable.
The reason I had such a good deck was that a guy who was temporarily staying with us once robbed a comic book shop, and stole a big photo album they had, full of really expensive rare Magic cards. And he gave some of them to us.
That's all my husband and I did, for about two years back in the mid-nineties, was play Magic. But then I lost interest in it, sold most of my good cards and gave the others away.
 
The last time I got a Beta Black Lotus it was @ $300.......1,200 now....and it only cost Wizards @ 25 cents to make....

Sorry, I didn't mean to start the traditional "prove God exists" debate, only to show that there is evidence enough to make the assumption of God reasonable. You won't find much evidence in a freely accessible way because of the bias in favor of Atheism/Humanism in academia.

Here is one that hasn't been silenced yet, I hope it's to your liking.
