We all know trump tells some whoppers. He's set a record for lying to the world.

But what has trump said or lied about that, if he was your close relative, you'd be ashamed and embarrassed? There are plenty of threads about how trump lies, but I thought it would be fun to quote some of his insane lies or things he's said that are simply just looney tunes.

I'll start.. this week trump said:

"When I took over our military, we did not have ammunition. I was told by a top general, maybe the top of them all, 'Sir, I'm sorry sir, we don't have ammunition.' I said, I will never let that happen to another president."
- Donald J. Trump - president of the United States of America - October 7, 2019

Keep it going

Get real, every politician has done or said stupid things. Every politician has lied in their effort to gain or keep power.

Well, then if you have a former president in mind that has said something as idiotic as trump, start a thread on it! Here's another "trump mouth-dump" for you:

- Donald J. Trump - presidential candidate 3/16/2019.

'cmon.. post your favorite "trumpism". It'll be fun

"I like people who weren't captured."

That is my go-to. Such an insult to our POWs and veterans, in general.

But, honestly, if I tried to think of the dumbest thing Trump said my head would start spinning. Just today we witnessed at least two more contenders for dumbest comment (the Kurds & Normandy comment as well as the one about driving on the other side of the road in Europe.) I just don't see the cult-like appeal of the orange toad.

That's like looking at a serial killer and going, 'Meh, we've all broken the law.'

I did not have sexual relations with that woman. Oops, perjury.
You can keep your doctors. Oops, I lied.
You will save $1,500 on healthcare. Oops, another lie.
I had no conversation with my son about Burisma. Right
I’m Native American, well 1/2000 (somewhere around there). Close enough.

Donald Vladimir Trumpkin just came up with another beauty today:
The Kurds did not help us invade Normandy

Whoopdy-ding-dong DonDon. Well I guess that makes everything all better now.

Watch him demand a nuclear strike on England once he finds out we went to war with them twice.

The idea of dropping nuclear warheads into hurricanes was an incredible level of stupidity, only reached by the chosen few - as was the stuff about alligators in big moats.

But how many of them have publicly asked for another nation to interfere in our democratic process, which is proscribed by the constitution.

Frankly both of those things are just plausible enough if you know NOTHING that I wonder where he's getting these ideas.

Is someone on his staff feeding him conspiracy theories to troll the world, or is he finding them himself?

STOP attempting to derail the thread.

Now you've got the idea.. so pick one of your favorite idiotic politicians and start a thread on them. Personally, after trump, I would have gone with W. Bush.. but it's up to you!

Have here's another trump-boner:

- Donald J. Trump 2004

He wouldn't shut up about the moats so they actually did the financial estimates for a border moat. Every publisher would reject the book if this presidency was written as a novel.

I tell you - he's a treasure trove of insane idiocy. That's why a thread like this is much more fun than just complaining about how he lies

Oh!, Oh! I almost forgot!!!! Sharpee-gate!!!

At the end of his presidency I kind of want to do a thread documenting at least one idiotic thing he did or said for each day he was in office. That may be an undertaking I'd have to start sooner rather than later.

But how many of them have publicly asked for another nation to interfere in our democratic process, which is proscribed by the constitution.

Let’s see Hillary and DNC working with foreign agent with connections in Russia and Ukraine for opposition research.
We will have to wait for Durham’s report to see if there is anyone else.

Trump told CNN in 2007, that he thought Clinton would surround herself with good people to negotiate a deal with Iran. A year later, Trump wondered publicly why Clinton wasn’t chosen as President Obama’s running-mate. :giggle1:

Hey, some enterprising writer will be able to make a coffee-table book full of "embarrassing trumpisms". Remember this one:

Little Marco says my hands are small which means something else is small but I'm telling you, there's no problem <gestures at his groin area>

He did this on live TV during a GOP candidates' debate!? now I'm telling you, I don't understand why at that point his family didn't start looking for some place to commit him!

Hmmm... I don't remember that.. but that's a good one!

He says something stupid almost everyday.
I remember this one as one of the most idiotic and embarrassing things that he has said. "China has total respect for Donald Trump and Donald Trump’s very, very large brain."

Get real, every politician has done or said stupid things. Every politician has lied in their effort to gain or keep power.

Trump and Trump supporters better be working overtime to make every politician/person look as stupid and crooked as he is.

That's the best strategy. Rush and Sean use it every day. It has no honor or integrity or course but that's not the GOP in 2019.

There are just too many stupids things he's said. The one about a hurricane being the wettest in terms of water ranks up there. The other day he said his poll numbers jumped 17 points, that was a good one (unless he was talking about the number supporting impeachment). I liked the one about needing ID to buy a box of cereal. Then there's the one about windmill cancer...
