I bought an iPhone a few months ago and it has turned into my new favorite toy. I am amazed at some of the things that the apps can do.

My favorite apps so far.

Major League Baseball: It does all the basics like scoreboards, team and player stats, and it gives detailed play by play for every game in real time. Also lets me listen to any game where ever I am. I hope the NFL out out a similar one.

Stitcher: This one allow me to have all my favorite news and commentary in a single app. I listen to it in my car when driving to and from work. My favorites list includes: CNN, FOX, MSNBC, Reuters, The Associated Press, CCN Political Notebook, Politico, and the President's Weekly Radio Address. Just about every radio and television news or commentary program is available here.

Pro RSS: This is the same as Stitcher but with written reports. It connects to any website with RSS feeds. My favorites list includes: CNN Politics, Fox News Politics, MSNBC Politics, Republican Senate, Republican Leadership Council, GOProud.

Pandora: This one will create a customized radio station based off of a single band or song that I type in. I tend to get a lot of 30 or 40-somethings in the bar I work for on Sundays. I type in "Tears for Fears" and the customers enjoy all the 80s music the app plays. Sometimes we play a game where the first person to identify the song and artist gets a free shot.

WunderRadio: Over 3000 radio stations from around the world. This is useful when I have the younger people in the bar who want house music. Instead of flipping through CDs, I just play house stations from Europe.

Shazam: This one can listen to a song playing and identify it. Comes in handy when I like a song on the radio but do not know the artist or title.
