What are you going to do with $3752

How will our children and grandchildren pay back the $3.4 trillion in new federal debt/deficits Trump's Big Ugly Bill generates?

Millions of Americans will have to save any extra tax refund money to pay for their healthcare after they're booted from Medicaid in December 2026.

Trump's Big Ugly Bill is horrible. GOP Congressional leadership has told its members to not do any more town hall meetings.

That GOP lawmaker held his last townhall.
Like most MAGA lawmakers, they run from anyone who dares oppose Trump.

I tried numerous times to begin a discussion on changing the tax code with no success, but just a simple change or addition to the existing tax code could go a long towards reducing, and even eliminating Federal deficits in most years. And that would be the addition of an across the board surtax relative to the CBO projected budget deficit percentage.

I live abroad where my cost of living runs about $3,600 per year, so I'd do as I do now and give any excess income to my Daughter to invest.

Much more, interestingly, in blue states like California and Massachusetts.

That is a conservative organization run by big corporations. The goal is to reduce taxes for big corporations. The way that is done is by offering teaser cuts for the masses as they promote huge cuts for the rich. Responsible government is not a consideration. Properly managing the federal budget is not a consideration. Basically, the rich don't care if the federal government kicks the debt down the road to future generations. They see the government as a piggy bank and themselves as robbers without any cops to tell them no.

I do not believe for a New York minute that the average tax payer is going to have this 3752 extra cash in their budget this year. Instead, the average tax payer is going to have less money to spend on things because things are costing more thanks to the new tax on imports.

You do know this will only increase the debt the gop bitches about when a Democrat is in office.

I think people are confused on the difference between a tax return and a tax cut.

Do you also have $1.95 gasoline?
Currently about the equivalent of $1.32 per liter, which would be about $5.00 per gallon.
We average about 7 liters per month gas consumption as our transportation is a 150cc motorcycle, and mostly local travel.

That's your advice? What should I do with it? Under the mattress?
I don't give investment advice any longer to anyone but my Daughter, but the mattress is about the same as the bank.

Can you talk the rest of your party into moving? Let them know how cheaply they can live. After all, money comes first with the gop.

The above is not factual.

Its first premise is that the Bill makes the tax cuts permanent.

It only makes the corporate and the donor class, those who make most of their money not from labor but from investments, permanent. The working and middle classes would see an increase starting in 2029.

Given its start point is wrong its predictions for the rest of it may be equally off.

Start with the means necessary to offset the cuts would mean reduction in safety net programs that impact, some likely quite significantly, the working and even middle classes. Seniors may be particularly impacted. As well as those whose medical needs are funded through Medicare subsidized funding, which includes many participating in state run medical insurance programs initiated by ”The Affordable Care Act”.

If you are a retired working or middle class senior, or a member of those economic classes whose medical insurance comes from these government sourced medical insurance plans, you may be among those, perhaps gravely, financially impacted.

Amazing how the cuts for we the people end when trump leaves office and you can bet your bottom dollar the right will blame the Democrats for the increase in taxes.
