Cut the military down a reasonable size and equip it for actual defense rather than projection of power which has been failing for decades. Given the recent devopments with drones and missiles it's gonna have to happen anyway. But actual cutting is politically impossible. Until we start firing people en masse and start being honest with ourselves it's not gonna happen.
