Pardon?
That has what to do with anything?
Not sure how to take this response... Please clarify. So ... don't ban land mines and bazookas?
I guess the general public doesnt feel comfortable when excons who have killed people can legally buy guns and kill new innocent people.
I personally dont have a vested interest in saving american lives. I live in a relatively safe country.
Good news -- it is illegal for them to do so, and said restriction does not violate the constitution.I guess the general public doesnt feel comfortable when excons who have killed people can legally buy guns and kill new innocent people.

Your free to be hanged in America. In the EU thats not possible, so your free to be unfree in America.
And thus, the difference between Americans and Europeons.I prefer being a well armed stag to a castrated sheep

This is astoundingly silly -- the presence or adsence of the death penalty in no way determines if the people of a country are free.Your free to be hanged in America. In the EU thats not possible, so your free to be unfree in America.
If a judge makes a mistakes and hangs a innocent person, then its not possible to undo a wrong. If he has life and is later found innocent, he can be released and compensated.
For this reason, EU has abolished the death penalty and Russia has followed. Now America stands alone with China, Iran, North Korea and Somalia. Thank-you America.
This is an argument against the DP; it is not an example of how having the DP means you are not free.If a judge makes a mistakes and hangs a innocent person, then its not possible to undo a wrong. If he has life and is later found innocent, he can be released and compensated.
I just bought the Marshall Islands, so I have plenty of room.It would be fun to set off small nuclear explosions in a large back yard....
Never mind that "Now America stands alone with China, Iran, North Korea and Somalia" is a self-defeating statement.i would say they hardly stand alone

Hopefully you all know that I don't think people should be allowed to own nuclear weapons. To many things can go wrong there (I do sometimes fantasize about those things though...)
I do think, though, that Americans should be able to be just as equipped as their government. This mainly comes out of my childhood fantasy of owning an M1 Abrams Tank...
