Air Canada also recently announced fewer flights to the US and that planned new routes were being shelved.

WestJet is pausing nine routes between the U.S. and Canada as demand dampens for travel between the two countries.

Both AC and Westjet are finding Canadians are doing more domestic and Europe bound travel and have adjusted accordingly.

WestJet announced in April that it would add new domestic routes within Canada and make it easier to connect with flights to Europe.

Ft Lauderdale and Orlando in June, Las Vegas in July and August. Not exactly prime places during those months, those are the months one goes to Canada to cool off.
