We sane, rational, intelligent, and politically astute folk knew that the first time Trump got elected, Professor.

He was a little slow on the uptake.

I only did snippets, but it is pretty clear he grew up in a southern Christian household, which preached about manners and respect. Trump 2nd's win gave him a dose of reality.

Quite possibly 5 minutes after the first Trump administration.
 
Not to this extreme though. Americans voted for a convicted felon, a man found liable for sexual assault, and committing massive bank and property fraud, and went on television and slandered Haitian immigrants who committed no crime.

My view is that Trump won because people thought Biden made their lives worse off. Elections trend to be about the performance of the White House party.

I predicted many moons ago a one and done Biden unless gasoline went back to pre-pandemic levels or less.

They gotta place that anger they feel on somebody......come on man! If a president elected by the people has you thinking human kindness is no longer in American society, quite possibly the problem lies within. Why is it always somebody else's fault, especially Trump's fault, lol.....the professor is just following der leaders example.

If your concept or exercise of human decency depends on the outcome of a political process, you probably have bigger problems you should be addressing.

That is absurd. Few things are better for determining the morality of a population than a democratic process. Maybe commerce or popular culture consumption.

Elevating elected officials to the level of hero or role model generally ends up badly. Find better role models. All the election of Trump proved was what a horrible candidate Harris was.
