Wendy Davis, a rising Democratic star in the Lone Star State, narrowed her campaign choices to those two Monday in a speech at the National Press Club in Washington, telling reporters afterward she'd announce which one she’s running for “hopefully in just the next couple of weeks.”

I hope she tries. She won't win, not yet, but she will open the door.

What door?

There is a lot of buzz about Texas turning at the very least purple if not all out blue. And I get to vote here.

Well, good luck with that. Davis is smart and extremely attractive.

It'll, it would be nice to get rid of "gays can can serve in the military" old boy Perry mentality here.

Perry was re-elected. This suggest to me that a majority of Texans approved of most of his POVs.

Probably a stronger than average candidate for the Democrats, but I doubt she'd have much of a chance unless the GOP nominated someone terrible or it was a very Democratic year.

Wendy Davis: 'I don't know what happened in the Gosnell case' | The Weekly Standard

If Gosnell-type murder is “not the landscape of what’s happening in Texas,” we’d love for her to explain the case of Houston abortionist Douglas Karpen, who allegedly ran a “house of horrors” similar to that of Gosnell. Either she really is oblivious about murder in her state and beyond, or she knows but doesn’t care.

If that filibuster is her crowning achievement she is on the opposite side of the vast majority in Texas. she is going to be chewed up and spit out
