...called me on what? I never argued that Weiner would be charged to a certainty. I never even said that Weiner "deserved" to be charged.

I was speculating that, if he would be charged with anything it all, it would probably be lewd conduct.

Jeez, and I thought MEN were supposed to be the dick-waving gender...:roll:

Well judging by the picture. Maybe he's just getting even for a lifetime of "weiner" jokes.

He's not a hypocrite and I'm not jealous, so no I don't think he should step down even if he did it.

I take Weiner on his word... someone hacked into his account and sent a picture of Weiner to a young girl through Twitter.

Ok - so that tells me that these social accounts can be hacked and our elected representatives are vulnerable to not just a prank, or hacking into the accounts, but of being manipulated, blackmailed, whatever.... That's the concern here. So why isn't the FBI investigating (or are they?), and if this is all a charade and Weiner's lying (which I think is the most probable as people tend to lie when they get caught in embarrassing situations, ie., Clinton, blue dress, fat intern, cigar, impeachment), I think he should leave office but he wont'. The guys a liberal progressive --- stuff like this give him "cred" with his progressive peeps.

As to the NAME FIVE RIGHT WINGERS YOU ENJOY TALKING WITH you really give me too much credit. I do not monitor the activities or posts of right wingers close enough to be able to make such a list. It is a matter which does not really concern me.

I have been following movies for over fifty years now and I don't think I could give you a list of my five favorite films even though I love that genre of entertainment. This message board occupies a far less significant place on the pecking order. And the ranking of right wingers who are interesting occupies an even more trivial space.

I attended a Catholic school and a nun around fourth or fifth grade had the old school habit of calling the boys "Master.............". So it was Master Gilbert... or Master Roberts. We had a classmate named Steven Bator.

That was a pure riot.

And she would not change.

No.

This event may prove to be an embarrassment to himself, his office and his family (spouse), but it's not a felony. What Weiner allegedly did amounts to sexting, but even if there are laws against such in his state they wouldn't necessarily apply to him as a US Congressman per Article 1, Section 6 (clause 1) of the Constitution.

However, should it turn out to be him in the photo, Congress should exact punishment per House rules. But no, he shouldn't be made to step down. Showing your ass cheeks in skimpy tighty-whities/boxer briefs doesn't amount to the level of inappropriate behavior (sex scandal) that should warrant him losing his job, i.e., running off with your mistress to South America while leaving your state with no high ranking elected official to step in and run your state in case of an emergency.

I still say just admit it and move on. Bill Clinton did worse, but he wasn't impeached. How in the world would Weiners conduct warrant a harsher punishment than what would have been imposed against a sitting President?

Why didn't Weiner kill this story buy saying, "Yep, that's my crotch in the picture! I didn't personally publish on the Internet. I'm mad as hell that somebody violated my personal information and pictures. And I expect an investigation by a computer forensic expert to trace down a possible hacker."

The guy hung himself by using the same tool all politicians use when the get caught with pants down. Deny, Deny, Deny...and blame them, they and that...repeatedly until it become a dead issue with the media and public.

Whats the big deal? The guy has always been a dickweed...he just went ahead and posted photographic evidence of the fact. If his wife is pissed...thats a little problem between the two of them.
 
The personal lives of these politicians are irrelevant. Anything they do that is legal doesn't bother me. Let's move on.

The Weiner tweet and the accompanying photo was spotted late Friday night by Wolfe, who tipped Big Government, the conservative blog run by Andrew Breitbart.
For months, Wolfe and several Twitter sidekicks have excoriated Weiner, 46, in the harshest terms. They have criticized his looks, claimed his marriage is a sham, and accused his wife of having ties to al-Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood. On May 5, Wolfe floated a rumor that compromising photos of a “big time” congressman were in the hands of a “top 5 Right Wing blogger.” He tweeted, “@RepWeiner are you this Congressman?” He reprised this photo rumor in a May 11 tweet.
Wolfe has refused to make himself available to Breitbart, or anyone else publicly, citing “personal problems.”

Honestly and seriouly would any man with half a brain and new pretty wife give it all up for this young lady. I'm not saying she's ugly but she's also not a raving beauty either.

Depends... case in point: Arnold Schwarzenegger. Have you SEEN his in-house help and mother of his child? Bill Clinton is another example.... A buddy of mine has been a chubby chaser all his life and has dated and married a woman who, is missing teeth, has a severe wart issue and those little slivers of skin that hang off the body line phalanges, you know what I'm talking about with those? I mean... really ROUGH and these women were never pretty. Never. But he's into them and always has been...

Everyone's different.

Interesting. I tend to think he might have more skeletons in the closet than this and he's trying his hardest (no pun intended) to keep them under wraps.
