So, completely irrelevant to current events and "real life" in any way....

Ross, Rachel, Friends, "we were on a break".....

Which side on you on here? Ross or Rachel?

Did Ross do anything "wrong"?

Were they split up at that time? Does being "on a break" mean you're split up?

Were they "on a break"?

I can see both sides but they ended up together so it all worked out after 8 years.

Rachel basically broke up with him.
She had Mark in her apartment that very same night when Ross called to try one last time to fix things.

Ross got drunk and was clearly not the hunter with the girl from the copy shop. The copy girl was the "aggressor".

I fail to see how Ross did anything technically "wrong", at least not in a way that Rachel could use it against him.

I think she could have been more understanding and forgiving in that situation. I could let it go but someone else may not and although they might try to let it go but still feel resentment and jealousy about it that would hurt and destroy the relationship anyway.

As you say Rachel had Mark in her apartement that very same night. She didn't waste any time.

In a committed relationship I think a mental connection with somebody else, which Rachel had with Mark, is much worse tan the one time physical connection Ross had with the copy girl.

It seems like Rachel had been thinking about taking a time out before she said it or had been planning something. She had Mark there in no time at all.

I am just upset that Rachel didn't run into my arms demanding revenge sex against Ross. The world is so unfair!

I don't think either of them were wrong because they were split up at the time. Of course, in real life, feelings would definitely be hurt I'm sure, but I still don't think either party is "wrong."
