We Went to the Trump Rally. It Was a Disaster (in TX, of course!)

Podcaster David Pakman had 2 reporters at Trump's recent rally in Conroe, TX.

Lowlights: no one of the attendees interviewed had any idea what CRT was except it involves young children & sex education.. Biden is a communist because he supports China.. And Pence should be executed. Most were unvaccinated. Fasting helps prevent infection with COVID. And the only thing you can do to prevent climate change is pray. And Clinton should be executed in a public square by firing squad.

The stars at night are big & bright...

Nobody should be too surprised at finding attendees at a Trump rally are ignorant, seem to get information from sources that lie to them or from very strange conspiracy sources. Just look at what Trump supporters post and cannot or will not source here on DP.

Hope you enjoyed watching your clueless peers in action. Man they are pissed about this and that but somehow don't know exactly what they are pissed about, like CRT. It was kinda' sad to watch how gullible some people can become protecting their beliefs.
 
Everytime I see Trumpers interviewed at his rallies I just SMH. How can there be so many ill-informed, ignorant ( in the real sense of the word) and yes stupid people gathered in one place!

Conroe, Texas — The Donald Trump train made its second stop here this Saturday with a coterie of politicians, conspiracy theorists, and grifters in tow. It came on the heels of a Lara Trump rally in north Texas this past Thursday and just two weeks after a similar rally in Phoenix, Arizona. Meanwhile, six hours south at the border, the disgraced QAnon peddling general Michael Flynn and other far-right figures held an event at the exact same time followed up by a caravan to the border on Sunday. Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller, who spoke at a QAnon conference in Dallas last July, was featured as a speaker at both events.

This confluence of events in Texas demonstrates the sort of far-right politics that is coalescing here: paranoid, obsessed with or tolerant of bigoted conspiracy theories, eager to appeal to violence, and convinced they’re fighting against a secret Marxist plot. If this sounds familiar, it’s because similar politics emerged during the Weimar period in Germany, were honed by the Nazis, and later trafficked into mainstream politics via the John Birch Society — one of the sponsors of the event at the border.

Tbh, I didn't watch the vid, but anyone wanting to present a certain perspective only has to show those being interviewed making their case. Maybe, for the sake of showing an unbiased hit piece, include one or two interviews showing some being intelligent. Accomplished by editing the video to show what you want seen. This is called intellectual dishonesty.

I don't disagree at all. My only point is that I don't think it is necessary. A group of Trumpers gathers on the street corner near where I work every few days. I've heard them over their little microphones. It's all the same.
 
I am certain there are intelligent Trumpers, in fact I know there are, however, I don't think they attend rallies. Rally goers are " special".

I've spoken or heard many on the other side of the aisle showing their ignorance. But I also know there's many that are very intelligent. I could easily cite many on DP that I admire for their intelligence. Point is we both can find examples of stupidity, but that doesn't make them representative of the whole. It's intellectual dishonesty to try to.
