The group that raised millions of dollars to build a privately funded border wall separating Mexico from the U.S. is under criminal investigation in Florida, according to officials.
We Build The Wall, a nonprofit organization that crowdfunded more than $25 million on GoFundMe, is under investigation by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Services, which has oversight of nonprofits and charities in the state, a spokesperson confirmed to ABC News via email.
This is hilarious. The only democrat in the state of Florida working for the dept of agriculture received these complaints about @WeBuildtheWall
None are donors, one cites fake news, and all are democratic voters according to records. HAVE FUN! https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/6077060-Brian-Kolfage-Attorney-General-Complaints.html#pages

General counsel from We Build The Wall said in a statement to ABC News that the group has "never been contacted" by the department regarding "ANY investigations or inquiries." The statement described the complaints as "erroneous" and said they "originate from the radical open borders left."
"Ever since WBTW completed its first mile of a total security system in the El Paso sector near Sunland Park, New Mexico, the open border fanatics who oppose a safe and secure america have been relentless in trying to shut us down. WBTW augments President Trump's heroic efforts to secure [sic] our southern border," the statement said.
"The filing of erroneous complaints and applying improper pressure on government employees have failed and will continue to fail. WBTW state filings are accurate and in total compliance with each individual state's laws," the statement continued.
We Build The Wall organization is a fraud. Building "The Wall" and having Mexico pay for it was a fraud. Trump has always been a fraud. They all fit together rather nicely in a complimentary sort of way, one begetting the other. I wonder where that $25M is?
The investigation hasn't even taken place and you have determined them to be grifters...

We Build The Wall, a nonprofit organization that crowdfunded more than $25 million on GoFundMe, is under investigation by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Services, which has oversight of nonprofits and charities in the state, a spokesperson confirmed to ABC News via email.
The investigation began after multiple complaints raising questions about the funds raised by the organization and how they were being allocated were sent to Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody, the spokesperson said, but declined to comment further.
Let me know when there is a ruling by a judge or someone else who matters.
Odd that no mention of any specific charges are mentioned or that there was any confirmation of any such investigation by FL AG personnel.
The use of unnamed officials and "a spokesperson" as sources yet not saying what official title that these unnamed sources had is troubling. The situation appears to be that concerns exist and that these concerns were passed on the the FL AG's office.
There was no mention of any criminal investigation ongoing at all except in the headline and lead sentence.
Slow start to the week for the liberals, eh? The investigation was announced 3 months ago ... let me know when something actually happens.
May, 2019 - "... The investigation into the Florida-based group, We Build The Wall, was launched in mid-May, a spokesperson for the Department of Agriculture said in a statement Thursday.
“The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services can confirm that in response to consumer complaints referred by the Office of Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody, the Department opened an investigation into this charity on May 17,” the spokesperson said. “As this matter is now an active investigation, the Department cannot comment further. No additional information is available at this time.” ..."

Odd that when people go to jail years after the conclusions of these investigations, this is ALWAYS the MAGAts first response. ALWAYS. Pedophiles, murderers, and grifters, you guys just automatically defend them for some reason...
Still waiting for the investigation.....
It is interesting how people like you can't wait for the findings of an investigation to declare someone guilty.....

He is guilty. The investigations are just dotting the lines and making sure grifters don't get away with ****.
Nobody is defending someone sentenced (or even criminally charged) - they are simply pointing out that "being under investigation" (as reported by an unnamed spokesperson) does not remove the presumption of innocence or even rise to level of probable cause (reason to make an arrest and bring criminal charges). Plenty of folks, perhaps even you, did not take the fact that Hillary was "under FBI investigation" as proof of her (obvious?) guilt.
Guilty of what exactly?
Well he's taking money out of the fund, even though it's against Gofundme's rules, b/c he didn't meet his fundraising goals.
A dishonest Trumpster?? Shocking!!
Allegedly at this point.
As I said, you automatically believe the grifters.
