Everyone code-switches every day. Do you talk the same way at work that you talk to your Starbucks barista, or at church, or to your spouse, or to a small child? There's nothing wrong with communicating differently to different audiences. It would be weird NOT to do this.

I can see how people who aren't often around people who are different than them wouldn't know what code-switching is. They probably think their singular friend of color always talks like that.

That is an absolutely ridiculous statement. What is your problem with home speech and public speech. Almost everybody does it, Black white brown red, yellow and little green people from "away". I'm guessing that who you call yourself, what you say on DP and how you say it wouldn't be recognized by your family, your neighbors or the the people you work with.

I'm assuming everyone was a child though, right? Did they talk to their friends the same way they spoke to their parents? Im not giving these clowns the benefit of the doubt. These are just meek pretenses to complain about a black woman they don't like.
