Was the US a "Dead Country" in 2024?

Crazy talk. We were the economic envy of the world.

Now we are the economic laughing stock.

Yep.

The only thing close would be Microsoft deciding to make a 5 year old the CEO and being stunned when he spends shitloads on sweets and hiring a shitload of jugglers and clowns for the HQ and starting a huge search for Father Christmas.

 (y)

I put this in the same category as the people who are saying that Trump is currently destroying our democracy and taking away all our freedoms. Hyperbole with maybe a dose of delusion.

Indeed, but let us also remember, this is another day in a forum that thrives on faux outrage and MAGA blame.

In an attempt to defend Trump's tariffs in federal court, Solicitor General D. John Sauer wrote the following

"One year ago, the United States was a dead country, and now, because of the trillions of dollars being paid by countries that have so badly abused us, America is a strong, financially viable, and respected country again."

Do you believe that Sauer is correct, or incorrect, about the US being "dead" last August?
He's wrong about the trillions of dollars being paid by countries. America is strong, and is continuing to strive for more economic sovereignty with trade deals that are fairer to the U.S.
Feel free to post any economic data that supports your vote.

Well yeah!
If you look at that debt that the DEM-REP Monopoly has put American in you could call us dead.....

But you'd still need to factor in the hidden debt that Ron Paul uncovered in his "PARTIAL" audit of the Federal reserve!!!...

Regardless Trumps has stop > $100's of BILLIONS in Waist/Crimes, billions in funding illegals , and reducing billions in Tariffs !
