Because Kevin McCarthy decided to not participate. This is all a soap opera being conducted by ruling party at the moment. Why do you think there is no Trump representation whatsoever in these so-called hearings?
Was the trump plot even darker than recognized?
One would think that if one were a useful idiot who believed all the nonsense from the dog and pony show.
But then, the dog and pony show is counting on their useful idiots.
(It won't help them in the midterms, though.)
I don't think they are making that same mistake again. They made that mistake in 2016 and it backfired. In the case of NY, I think the new Manhattan DA is flat gutless.Garland IS doing his job. Trump is the best thing the Democratic party has going for it in 2024. They know it. Why do you think he has not been indicted by any of the several state probes yet?
That or his lawyers are too smart to let him incriminate himself.
Who testified in Nixon's favor?Because jury pools are skewed against Italian Americans?
A few things worth noting beyond that has been noted about these tweets which are just tweets:The Secret Service released a statement after the hearing on Tuesday. "The United States Secret Service has been cooperating with the Select Committee since its inception in spring 2021, and will continue to do so, including by responding on the record to the Committee regarding the new allegations surfaced in today's testimony," the statement says.
Engel and the driver of the SUV who gave Trump a ride back to the White House from the rally on Jan. 6 are prepared to testify under oath that "neither man was assaulted and that Mr. Trump never lunged for the steering wheel," NBC News reporter Peter Alexander tweeted, citing a source close to the Secret Service. And Ornato "denies telling Cassidy Hutchinson that the former president grabbed the steering wheel or an agent on his detail," CNN's Shimon Prokupecz tweeted, citing a Secret Service official.
