In Ferguson the grand jury cleared officer Wilson for defending his life after being assaulted in the line of duty. "Protestors" still rioted destroying minority businesses.
Was justice served in Ferguson with Wilson being cleared?
Must your polls always be ONLY "I am a right/left leaning American and I say X"??
You're leaving me and many others out. I AM an American, but not necessarily one with a concrete lean in all things.
In my polls I attempt to isolate variables. I must make a distinction somewhere, at some point.
Are you telling me you are precisely in the middle with no lean in any direction? Have you taken one of those political spectrum tests online? That might give you an idea of where you lean.
Justice was served twice in Ferguson. The first act of justice came through the barrel of a gun to a man who assaulted an armed officer. The second act of justice came via the grand jury decision.
Justice won't be served until every single one of the rioters are charged and behind bars.
JUSTICE. 1 a : the maintenance or administration of what is just especially by the impartial adjustment of conflicting claims or the assignment of merited rewards or punishments
If you had a "I don't know option" I would vote for it. You need to learn how to do polls. Yes, No, Other would suffice.

For myself, we have to try and have faith that the jury made the right call because it's the basis of the entire legal system.
In that sense, justice has been done and we have to abide by that decision.
You never have to worry about a concrete lean as long as you make sure that you have properly stabilized the base you're pouring on!!
Anyway, I agree about the poll. The subject is really too broad for a simple answer.
1. The legal process went down pretty much the way it should have considering all the outside political baggage attached to it.
2. Wilson isn't going to be cited criminally but he's damned sure not coming through this whole thing uninjured. There's no "justice" in that.
3. The good folks of Ferguson are pretty much getting screwed as their property values tank and they can no longer tell folks where they're from without the stigma of all this crap being an issue so there's no "justice" there.
4. The bad folks of Ferguson are most likely going to get a walk on all this so there's no "justice" there.
Maybe somebody got some "justice" out of all this but they'd probably have to fill me in on what their definition of the word is because I'm just not seeing a winner here.
As a centrist, I'm excluded from the poll.
Still, speculating whether justice for all was met in the grand jury declining to indict officer Wilson .. is something no one will really ever know.
Some say justice is limited to our view of the facts with respect to the law .. and some say justice extends beyond the law, the law itself subject to judgment with respect to justice and the special extenuating circumstances of culture and history also subject to judgment in determining if justice was served.
Regarding the former, due process implies the result was just .. but regarding the latter, as so many in the streets exhibited, justice hasn't been served at all.
Regardless, Michael Brown had just robbed a convenience store and officer Wilson had engaged him .. when Brown was fatally shot.
That Brown thought it necessary to rob a convenience store is sad .. that Officer Wilson felt it was necessary to shoot Brown to protect himself, is sad .. that Michael Brown is dead, is sad .. that Michael Brown's parents will grieve their son for the rest of their lives, is sad .. that Officer Wilson will be haunted by this and likely targeted for it the rest of his life, is sad .. that Ferguson has suffered so much here, is sad ...
Whether or not justice was served, this whole thing is very, very sad.
I don't know whether justice was served.
All I know is that there's so much sadness in Ferguson.

You don't have to rely on the grand jury decision, because they dumped all that information they had. You can decide for yourself.
My decision does not matter for naught.
Ultimately the grand jurys decision was that the officer is not guilty.
That has to be enough otherwise the legal system no longer would function.
